"Yes, Grandpa Vlad will be so happy when happy to see the big masquerade party Johnny, Joey and I have planned," Drac said. "Huh?" Johnny asked as he grabbed Dennis and put him in his lap. "What masquerade party?" Joey asked as Drac froze everyone except for him, Johnny and Dennis. "Play along," Drac said. "It's my dad." "You have a dad?" Johnny asked as he ruffled Dennis's hair. "That's funny." "How is that funny?" Joey asked. I don't know," Johnny replied as he kissed Dennis on the forehead. "Listen to me. My dad cannot know that you're humans," Drac said. "Or any of your family." "What?" Johnny asked. "But, Drac, I'm proud of who we..." "Or he'll steal your family's souls!" Drac exclaimed. "And eat your backpack!" Johnny gasped and looked over at his backpack.

"What about Dennis?" He asked. "Oh, don't worry," Drac said. "My dad would never kill anyone of blood." Johnny sighed in relief. "Oh, thank goodness," he said feeling happy that his son would be okay. "But Bela will most likely eat him for dinner," Joey said. Johnny gasped and held Dennis close to him. "Who's Bela?" He asked. "A giant bat monster," Joey said. "As well as Vlad's pet." "Well then, I guess Dennis's birthday party will be a monster masquerade," Johnny said. "You cool with that, honey?" "Yes, Daddy," Dennis said softly. "I really don't wanna get eaten on my birthday." Johnny smiled as he gave Dennis a big hug and kissed him on the cheek . Drac then unfroze everyone.

"That's right, gang," Johnny said as he stood up with Dennis in his arms. "We're going to make Dennis's birthday a monster masquerade party," said Joey as he ruffled Dennis's hair. "Really?" Mavis asked. "Oh, how lovely," Linda said. "Sort of like a last hurrah before Dennis gets to be with normal people." "I couldn't have said it better," Drac said.
