Intermittent Explosive Disorder

Start from the beginning

I hand him the dead pool. "This is a list of every supernatural creature in Beacon Hills."

"This is only part of it though. The rest still has to be decoded." Scott explains.

"Who found this list?" Stilinski asked.

"Lydia." Stiles responds.

"How?" Stilinski asked again.

"She transcribed it without realizing it." I answer.

Stilinski looked at us. "Banshee?"

"Banshee." Stiles nods.

"Beautiful." He whispers. "All right, what are these numbers next to the name?"

"We're getting to that. First, you need to know that the code was broken with a cipher key." Stiles said.

"Wait, you mean like a key word." His dad asked.

"It's actually a name." Scott frowned.

"Allison." I tell him. "Allison's name broke a third of the list.

"And now we think there's two other cipher keys." Scott adds.

I nod. "It will give us the rest of the names."

"Okay." Stilinski said a little overwhelmed. "So how do we get the cipher keys?"

"Same way we got the first one." Stiles said.

"Lydia." Scott says.

"Lydia is getting so stressed with all of this. She's been out at the lake house all weekend trying to find the other key words." Stiles explains.

"You didn't know about Demarco or Carrie? And what about these other two names on the list? Uh, Kayleen Bettcher and Elias Town. They werewolves too?" Mr. Stilinski asked.

"I don't know, but Deaton said that the Nemeton would draw supernatural creatures here." Scott answers.

"Here being Beacon Hills? Or Beacon County? The population of Beacon Hills is just under 30,000." Mr. Stilinski said.

"And dropping." Stiles interrupted.

"But if we're talking Beacon County, then you're looking at close to 500,000." He informed us. "Look, how many werewolves, banshees, kitsunes, Areenas, and whatever the hell is out there are we talking about? And what if the next cipher key uncovers not 12 names but 100?"

"We don't think there would be that many. There's a limit." I tell him. "You see that next to each name is a number, right?"

"How do the numbers change things?" Stilinski said.

"We think that once we decode the names, the numbers will add up to 127 million." Stiles said.

"Stolen from the Hale Vault and is being used by someone to finance all these murders." Scott explained. "Someone who wants every supernatural in Beacon Hills dead."

"So the coded list goes out, and somehow these professional assassins get that list." Stilinski said.

"And a cipher key." Stiles added.

"And then they go after the names on the list. They being killers with no mouths, tomahawks, thermo-cut wires that can take your head off." Stilinski said. We all nodded in agreement. He handed us some pictures. "Carrie was also stabbed."

"What's this mark?" I ask looking at the mark on Carrie's chest.

"We're not sure yet. We're waiting on the ME's report." He replies. "There's one other thing I don't get. How did this new assassin know that Demarco was going to be at the lake house?"

"Everyone knows he delivers kegs to teenagers for a little extra cash." Scott informs. "So whoever ordered that keg killed Demarco."

"It was someone at that party." I say. "Mostly likely a student."

I walked outside looking for Scott and Stiles. I found them by a crowd around a bus. That must be the team we're playing tonight. I walk over to them and watch Liam, who was walking over there, looking mad.

"Brett! I just wanted to say..." He starts to breath heavily. "Have a good game."

"That's cute, Liam." Brett laughs. "Is that what they told you to say in anger management? Apologize and everything's fine? You demolished Coach's car."

"I paid for it." Liam grumbles.

"Yeah, you're going to pay for it. We're going to break you in half out there. And it's going to be all your fault." Brett snaps. I looked down at Liam's hand, which was dripping blood.

"His hand." Stiles whispers. He'd seen it too.

All of us run up to him. Scott and I each grab one arm as we drag him away.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, let's go." Scott says as him and I lead him out of the crowd. We took him to the locker room and put him under the cold shower. I was luckily able to take my jacket off before. I didn't want to get it wet.

"Okay, you calm yet?" I ask. Liam roars in response. We put him under the shower again.

"Okay! Okay!" He yells after he started to calm down.

I turn off the water. Liam leans against the wall and slides down, so he's now sitting on the floor. Scott bends down next to him. I grab my jacket and put it back on before standing next to Stiles.

"That car you smashed. I thought you said that it was your teacher's." Scott said after everything calmed down.

"He was also my Coach. He benched me for the entire season." Liam pants.

"What did you do?" Scott asked.

Liam looked down. "I got a couple of red cards."

"Just a couple?" Stiles asked in shock. I glare at him making him raise his hands in defense.

"You gotta be honest with us." I tell Liam. "What else happened?"

"Nothing." Liam said. "I got kicked out of school. They sent me to a psychologist for an evaluation."

"What did they call it?" Scott asked.

"Intermittent explosive disorder." He answers.

"I.E.D? You're literally an I.E.D. that's great. That's great. You gave powers to a walking time bomb." Stiles said.

"Did they give you anything for it?" Scott asks, ignoring Stiles.

"Risperdal." He answers. "It's an antipsychotic."

"Oh, this just gets better and better." Stiles mumbled. I slapped his arm making him glare at me.

"But I don't take it." Liam admits.

"Obviously." Stiles said.

I glare at Stiles again. "Knock it off."

"I can't play lacrosse on it. It makes me too tired." Liam explains.

"Okay." Scott sighs. "Liam, I think you should bail out of the game. Tell Coach your leg is still hurting."

"No, no! I can do this." Liam freaked out. "Especially if you're there."

"But, Liam. It's not just about the game. We think whoever killed Demarco might be on our team." Scott explained.

I start thinking about the party. Since it's on a full moon, it's kind of blurry. I don't know who bought the keg, but Garrett bought it since he opened the wine. Maybe he could be involved.

"Autumn, are you okay?" Scott says, breaking me from my thoughts.

"Um, I don't know who ordered the keg, but I know who bought it." I say. "Garrett"
