Once upon a time, long ago, there was a kingdom whom was known for its power and beauty.
Its king was a kind and understanding man, constantly trying to give his people what would be the best for them.
However, as the years went by, the king fell sick. His wife whom he loved until the end of time was said to have been unable to bear children, leaving him with no heir to take over the throne.
It was said that his last will was to give the throne to his nine most trusted nobles, as he could not choose between just one of them.
The kingdom soon broke up into nine parts, who then ended up become nine separate kingdoms. The only thing keeping them together being the alliance between them.
However, an unknown force would soon shake their bond, for better, or, for worse.
