In a soulmate AU, everyone has a tattoo that matches only one other. It is black and white all your life until you meet 'the one" and it becomes colorful. You've already found you soulmate and live happily together. Until one you wake up will your soulmate is on a business trip and you find your tattoo to be black and white.
