Friday night, Kosmos came to a close with the its highly awaited finale, with the final members being Lim Jeonghwa, Xiao Liying (Luna), Rae Dara (Red), Ong Yerim (Jasmine), Moon Jaeeun (Quinn), Kana Akiyama (Nana), Kwon Riley, Sakura Hiari, Song Brooklyn, Lee Seolin (Lyn), Moon Jaehee (Shea), and Oh Jiyeon (Jen).

Unlike previous MNet survival groups, Universe, consist of primarily older members; the oldest two members being 25 and the youngest being 17. Fans have also made it known that they enjoyed the final group has more "exotic" visuals and prominent features that stray away from the typical girl group visuals, while still being a visual group. Looks aside, it was also announced that Universe will be a Korean unit to AKB48, meaning the group's Japanese promotions will be handled by AKB's company and produced by Yasushi Akimoto. The group is expected to debut in August and their Japanese debut is also expected to happen this year as well. Until their debut, the most potential team, who is now going by Mercury, and the top 5 team, who will be going by Comet, will be promoting their respective songs from the finale.

Prism
During Kosmos' finale on Friday, new project unit, Prism, was introduced to the public with a cover of 4Clover's "Boombayah". The group consists of LURE's Kassy, White Queen's Lilo, Antheia's Minnie, and trainee Minjae.

The group was brought together by The Black Label's Teddy Riley, who was in contact with Galaxy Ent's CEO, Kris Wu. He stated that he wanted to work with a few artists under Galaxy, with Kassy, Lilo, and Minnie being his first picks. Despite initially only wanting to work with those three, Minjae caught his attention during her short time on Kosmos. He was impressed with what she did get to show but wants to help her show her potential more. Riley describes his vision of Prism as the girl crush group that the public didn't know that they needed.

Prism has reportedly wrapped up preparations and is expected to debut on the 2nd of August.
