"in broadway news today, dear evan hansen star mike faist announced that his time on the show will be coming to a end on May 13th of the coming year" i heard the TV say. i'm sorry. WHAT. DID I MISS A MEMO HERE. i've gotta call mike.

"hello?" mike whispered into the phone.
"mICHEAL FAIST"i yelled
Mike POV

Y/N POV
"that's my name" he said sounding quite terrified. good.
"is there something you want to tell me?"i ask anxiously.
"you heard about me leaving i assume?"he asked.
"yes i did. when did you plan on telling your girlfriend about this big change in your career?!"i exclaim. he better have a real good explanation for this one.
"i wanted to ask you about it but. it would involve me telling you something you're not supposed to know" i cut him off.
"know what? tell me what"i ask anxiously.
"-yet. something you're not supposed to know yet. you just have to wait ok baby. i'm sorry you had to find out this way. can you forgive me"he says sweetly. how can i say no to that
"yes i can forgive you. but how long do i have to wait to know what it is"i ask knowing i won't get a answer out of him that easily.
"whoops gotta go love ya bye"he hangs up jokingly. i wonder what he's up to this time.
Mike POV
this is the hardest secret i've ever had to keep. i'm a good secret keeper but this is so fucking hard. when the one person i can't tell is the only person i want to tell (because i tell them everything) it's so hard. on the day i leave DEH i plan to ask y/n to marry me. i don't know how i'm gonna do it yet. i haven't even bought a ring but damn it im doing it. my life is gonna change forever in 7 months
