Colby chuckled, holding his hand out to me. I took it and we rested our arms on top of the barrier. "Why don't you get some rest? The flight is 6 hours and I'll need you well rested. We are going to have an amazing time in Kauai." I met his gaze and smiled. "I know." I actually did manage to sleep most of the flight away, only waking up when I felt Colby shaking my arm. It was still the middle of the night in Hawaii, but Serena's amazing self had set it up to where our rental car was waiting for us at the airport. Damn, I loved her. Colby drove to the hotel, while I lay back in the seat, enjoying the feel of the wind on my face, and my hair whipping around. Did I mention that the rental was a convertible? A deep, royal blue Audi S5...yeah, Sam would be proud. I was actually in love with this car. We pulled up to the hotel and it took my breath away. Everything about this place was taking my breath away. I may not be able to breath through our entire trip. The hotel was surrounded by the local trees and forestry, lights illuminating the walkways, the elegance of it surreal. I could see the "pool" area off to the side. It wasn't really a pool. It was a huge body of water that led off into the the actual ocean, the marble "dock" area lined with lounge chairs and umbrellas. There was even a small waterfall area, set up next to the hot tub. I was still sitting in the car when gawking when Colby opened my door for me to get out. I took his hand and let him pull me from the car, still gawking by the way. This was absolutely surreal. "How is this my life?" I asked, mainly speaking to myself but he heard me. Colby smiled at me. "I ask myself that same question every time I look at you and realize that you're mine." I melted. Right there, on the spot, next to the little valet stand...tears sprang to my eyes again...damn hormones. This baby was going to be the reason that I died of dehydration. "Oh Colby..." I breathed, staring into his eyes. He leaned over and kissed my cheek, then pulled me to him as we walked inside. We checked in and were led to our suite..."why are we going back outside?" I whispered to Colby, as we followed the man in front of us to our room. "Just wait." He answered back. We had exited the side of the hotel, walking around outside now, and I was confused. Was our room outside? Soon, we came upon an area of cabins, each spaced apart, like a little suburban area. The water was directly in front of them, sidewalks made of wood traveling to each one, and back to the main hotel. There were torch lights hanging from them, shining over the calm, clear blue water. It was closed right now, but I saw a bar area in the middle of the cabins, and even a small dance area with a dj stand. Colby tipped the man after he brought in our bags and then left, leaving us alone outside the cabin door. I started to go inside but Colby swept me up in his arms, making me yelp, and my arms go automatically around his neck. He laughed, and brought his soft lips down to mine, kissing me with a tenderness that melted my insides, making me quiver. "I have to carry you over the threshold, remember?" He said quietly, his voice rough and gravelly, sending chills down my spine. I didn't speak, scared my voice would crack. My nerves just made my entire body start vibrating. Why was I nervous? It wasn't like Colby and I hadn't slept together plenty of times. Why was this time any different? "Because now you're husband and wife," A little voice inside my head replied. I nodded at Colby, since it seemed like he was waiting for me to reply, still standing outside the cabin, holding me. I sucked in a breath as he took the first step over the threshold, another tradition that marked the beginning of our lives together. "Well that was climactic," He said, letting me down slowly, my body sliding down every inch of his, until my feet hit the floor. Our eyes were locked on one another, until I cleared my throat. "Let's check out the rest of the place. This is so beautiful Colby." He grinned. "Thank Serena. She's actually really great at this sort of thing." I nodded in agreement, but my mind was already on the beauty of this place.  The inside of the cabin was rustic, but so beautiful. We were in what I guessed to the be the sort of living room. A green cushy couch and a couple of recliners spaced out in the open room. The rafters were showing in the ceiling, a simple fan hanging down from them. Giant windows lined 2 of the walls, with the bamboo blinds drawn down on them. We grabbed our bags and headed to the bedroom. The bed was....gigantic. It was the very first thing that grabbed my attention. "Holy Shit," I breathed out, staring at it. The room itself was big, decorated in a tropical beach theme, the bed indicating the bed of sand that surrounded the beach. I think you could have fit 2 king size beds on this one bed. The walls started with white and blue mixed in a random pattern at the top, going down until the waves were decorated along the bottom side of the wall, then the beige colored carpet on the floor, matching the bedspread. I was once again in awe. I heard the bags hit the floor, behind me, then felt Colby taking the ones that I had from my hands, and dropping them on the floor also. My breath left my body as he swung me up once again, and carried me to the bed, both of us falling back onto it, sinking into the plush mattress. He hovered over me, and raised his hand to my face, pushing some lose strands of hair behind my ear.
