I would be glad when this was over...but it wasn't going to be over until late tonight. Damn it again! I found some pop tarts, apples, bananas, cheese in the cooler, and bread. I laid them all out on the picnic blanket so that the others could pick out what they wanted. I just picked up an apple and bit into it. I was too nervous to eat very much. I felt someone walk up behind me, and turned to see Colby. His hair was mussed, and he was rubbing his eyes, sleepily. He smiled when he saw me looking and stretched and yawned. "Good morning beautiful," he said, while wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me to him. I looked up into his eyes, and swept his hair away from his eyes. "Good morning babe." I replied. "What do you want for breakfast?" I did a sweeping motion with my arm, across the food on the picnic blanket. He surveyed it for a moment, then looked back at me. "I'll just take a pop tart." I nodded and picked one up, giving it to him. "Okay, you know that we don't have a toaster, right?" I replied smiling. He rolled his eyes and smiled. "Yeah, it's not going to be the first time I've eaten a cold pop tart." "Hey Colby," Kat called from over by the fire pit. He looked over. "Yeah?" "Do you that rack thing to put over the fire so that we can cook things on it?" She had a cheese sandwich made. I guess she wanted a grilled cheese. He nodded. "Yeah, it should be in my tent, with the extra stuff. Hold on, I'll check." He handed me the pop tart back and went back inside our tent. Sam was standing by his tent, checking his phone for some reason. I walked over to him. "Sam," I said softly, not wanting to draw attention. He looked up and smiled sweetly. "Yeah?" "Is Kat okay?" I asked. He looked over to where Kat was standing. "Yeah, she's okay. She got a little insecure earlier but that's what we want, right?" He didn't look so sure when he said that. "I guess." I replied. "Look," He said putting his hand on my arm. "It'll be fine. Everyone had done these kinds of pranks before. We're always fine after. We won't let it go too far." He smiled again. "I promise." I looked into his blue eyes, and I trusted him. Sam knew what he was talking about and he wouldn't risk losing Kat or Colby. I felt better about it. I nodded at him. "Okay." I sighed. Colby emerged from the tent with the grill rack and went over to the fire pit to get the fire started. After a little while, the fire was ready to make sandwiches for anyone who wanted one. "Hey, I can put my pop tart on the grill rack!" Colby realized, getting excited. I laughed. He was like a little kid on Christmas. "Not a bad idea," Sam replied, throwing his on there behind Colby. Kat placed her sandwich on there. The rest of the group was up by then and there were multiple things placed on the rack, close together to make room. We sat around talking, letting Sam cook the food for us. He seemed to enjoy it, delighting over how the grill rack made the marks in the bread and the pop tarts. "Alright you guys, pop tarts are ready!" He passed them out to Colby, Jake, Tara, and himself. The sandwiches were taking just a little longer but he got those finished too and passed them out to Katrina and Corey. Devyn and I just ate a couple pieces of fruit. I sat there listening to everyone talking but not joining in. I didn't feel like talking much today. I watched the sun shimmer off the surface of the lake and decided to go closer. I got up and walked over to the edge, looking down into the murky water. I looked up and saw the dock, remembering that it was there. "You guys wanna go swimming?" I called back to the group. "We don't have our suits!" Kat exclaimed. I laughed. "When has that ever stopped us?" I asked. She nodded her head to the side. "Yeah, you're right." She said laughing. "Okay, but it's daytime this time...maybe you guys can wear a t-shirt over your....underwear." Corey said, looking uncomfortable. "Yeah, I agree with that idea actually." Colby replied, holding his finger up. I walked back towards them, my head tilted. "What about you guys? You just get to be all out in the open in your underwear? Why can't we? That's sexist." I didn't really care but I like messing with them, especially with how sensitive everyone was about every little subject nowadays. Colby blushed. "We walk around in our underwear all the time. It doesn't really show anything." This was true but still. "If anyone is wearing revealing underwear, then fine, but normal should be okay. It's just like a bathing suit unless it's white." I looked over to the girls. "If it's white or revealing, wear a shirt. Deal?" I asked. They nodded, laughing a little at the situation. I looked back at Colby. "Besides, it's not like we haven't all seen each other, or caught each other in our underwear...or less, before." He smirked a little. "Yeah, you're right." He turned back to the group. "Alright guys, let's go swimming!" We all cheered. After everyone was ready, we walked to the dock, setting out the spare blanket to sit or lie on. I stripped down, putting my clothes in a pile away from the water. Looking around at everyone else, they were doing the same thing. Colby was pulling his jeans off of his feet then standing up straight. I closed the few steps between us and wrapped my arms around his waist. "I love you Brock." I said, smiling up at him sweetly. He met my gaze, one corner of his mouth turned up. "I love you too y/n." "Always." I replied, then shoved him as hard as I could into the water.
