A/N: This poem is one of a series of six I had to write for a writing class my sophomore year of high school. Agape is defined as being a pure sort of love, like that between a husband and wife or God and man.

Were the decision mine...
You would not fear.
You would not quake.
You would not pain.
But as the decision is not mine,
life must continue.
Let the sun shine.
Let the rain fall.
Let the weight of the world
shrug off from your shoulders
onto mine. So that with each step,
your fingers stroke the sun.
And this decision of mine, through the rain,
would make the sun shine. Forever.
