"alpha, luna, it's a boy", the ultrasound technician smiles at us. I turn to Jessie and smile

"It's a future alpha" I beam out that if the firstborn baby is a girl, they don't become alpha unless the current alpha and luna die before having a male; that is the only reason Jessie would have been alpha was that she was my only 'kid.'

"that he is", she smiles, leaning up to kiss my lip

"Now, hand the card over. I want to go baby shopping", she snaps, making me laugh out

"get something cute to wear as well; I am taking you on a date", I smile back, handing her my card; Jessie jumps up and pulls her shirt down before running off

"alpha, luna needs to take it easy. The placenta isn't sitting where it should be; I am concerned that something will happen, and we will have to get your son out fast", the technician, who is the pack doctor's daughter, smiles sadly at me; I nod my head in understanding and head towards my office to get some work done.

"wake up and prepare your pack; the bad is coming; the day after your son is born is when he will arrive to take you down; you can't hide, Jessie. If you do, you both will die, and your pack will burn; she must fight alongside you" I jump out of my seat in a pant

'get all fighters now', I growl into the link and start heading towards the backyard. While I am not sure why I would be getting a warning now when the birth is so far away, I know that we need to start preparing; if I was getting a sign from my first mate while not even near her grave, I know this is serious.

Walking into the backyard, I noticed everyone standing there in a conservative stance.

"as you all know, Jessie is your luna, and she is pregnant with the future alpha" I wait for the crowd to quiet down

"my first mate is sending me warnings from the afterlife telling me of an attack that will take place the day after my son is born; we will start full-out training tomorrow; the luna will be joining us but will be taking it carefully; the luna will be fighting alongside us while our son will be with the rest of the pack in the safe room, I don't want the luna to be fighting, but the warning was clear if she doesn't fight we will all die" I growl out showing how serious this is.

"alpha, the girls are home", my beta smiles; I turn to the door as Jessie walks out into the field

"beta, please talk to the pack doctor about any complications that may arise that will not allow Jessie to fight and how we can minimise them", I command before pulling Jessie into the house

"go get ready for our date" I smile, not wanting to worry her yet

"what was all that about?" she commands me in her luna voice, making me spill the beans, the only people who can control an alpha are the luna and the werewolf king.

"ready, malady?" I question in a very put-on a posh accent

"yes, I am kind, sir" Jessie smiles, trying to sound posh as well, making the both of us creak up laughing

"so where are you taking me?"

"wait and see" I pull Jessie close to me and take her towards my car; jumping in, I drive further into the woods, making Jessie start fidgeting, which she does when she is nervous.

After two hours of driving, we were almost at the border of the pack; I stopped the car and ran around to her side of the vehicle. I smile sweetly before picking her up and carrying her to the clearing

"you have gained some weight", I smirk out, making her hit my chest

"Hey, hey hey, it's normal to gain weight, especially when you are carrying my baby", I giggle out, making her make an O shape with her mouth in understanding

"wow" is all that leaves Jessies' lips when she sees the clearing; the meadow is blooming with daffodils, there is a blanket laid down with a rose petal heart in the middle, which holds a picnic basket, and there is a mini gazebo above that has fairy lights hanging down. The path to the blanket is lined with a carpet-like thing so that the heels she wore didn't get damaged by the dirt. All of which I had the pack warriors do while she was busy getting ready and we were driving.

"This is so beautiful", she smiles as I place her back on the ground; taking her hand in mine, I lead her to the basket; opening it up, I show all of her favourite food in there, including a non-alcoholic fizzy wine.

"omg, pasta", she squeals, sitting herself down and starts eating as fast as she can

"This is amazing, thank you", she smiles before continuing to eat
