James tipped his head back to the sky and let out of a scream of such pure agony that everyone else could only stand and watch, knowing their pain would never compare to what the Second, no, the Captain, was going through.

He had lost Lyria and Caleb within the space of five minutes.

Everybody's attention quickly turned to Lucien as he fell to the deck, clutching his heart as pain rippled through him.
Panting for breath, he brushed off the caring and worried hands, waiting for the dizziness and nausea to pass.

"She can't really be gone." Jordyn muttered, staring at the place where she had previously stood before.

The only indication that she had ever been there was a small drop of blood and the sadness in everyone's hearts.

However, Lucien knew she was really gone. He could feel it as the blood bond had broke.

"She's gone." Lucien announced to the people left alive, an emptiness settling on me.

And that was when The Crimson Rose broke down.
