You breathed out, "I'll see how I feel"

Around 10 minutes later, you arrived at school and hopped off Will's bike, you were running a little bit late so loads of middle school and high school kids were milling about - and nearly all of them were looking at you. Hawkins was a small town, so when a new kid came to school it was big news, people would do anything to find out stuff about you, where you came from, what you had for breakie, who you were mates with, how tall you were, what your great aunt was called, If you liked to use the bath or the shower, and how many times you'd like to shit a day. I'm kidding, of course.

Will put a hand on your back, "You good?"

You squinted and nodded, "Yeah, y' know, just not used to loads of people watching me"

You and Will looked at each other and laughed.

The two of you made your way up the steps of the entrance and into the hallway, you saw Dustin and Lucas by the lockers and you immediately ran up to them for a group hug. 

"Woah nice shoes man," Lucas said to you.

"Hee hee thank youuu, can't say the same for yours though" You laughed and Lucas gave you a little shove.

Mike shut his locker and walked up to you guys, "See you've got no problem making an impression of yourself already y/n"

Dustin frowned, "Mike what's that meant to mean?"

Mike sighed and shook his head, "She's being loud, the whole fucking hallway can hear"

Will stepped up, "Dude what the fuck, have you got a problem?"

Before Mike could answer a small group of lads and this one girl walked by, one boy spoke to Will "Daaammnnnn, how the hell did zombie boy manage to get a girlfriend? He must be really good in bed for her to want to stick around"

Before Dustin or Lucas had a chance to stick up for Will, one of the lass' spoke to the boy, "Oh my god shut up Tom, just because you're jealous of Will - we all know how desperate you are with the ladies"

You laughed a bit and covered your mouth.

The lad looked you up and down, "You think Connie's funny?"

You looked at the lass, Connie, then back at Tom, "Oh - Sure, yeah I do - I mean by the way you're conducting yourself what she said about you seems pretty accurate"

Connie let out a really loud laughed, a different lad behind her punched her arm.

Tom frowned at you, "Just because you use fancy words doesn't mean you're better than us"

"Oh my dayys.." You chuckled, "To start with fucking 'conducting' and 'accurate' aren't that higher reading level for you, and I'm not going to go along with this whole new girl trope bullshit where you try to pick on me for being 'smart' just because you can't take Connie's joke"

Tom stared at you, looking like he was going to say something else harsh or stupid, you were beginning to think this dude would be like another Troy - but surprisingly he also laughed, "Ahhh damn, I like you - you've got a sharp mouth, no but for real if you ever wanna ditch your boyfriend you should come hang out with us," Tom pointed behind him, "Wyatt here would quite like it"

"Dude!" Wyatt, this tall boy with short curly hair, gave Tom a shove.

"Guys can you leave us the fuck alone," Mike stepped in front of you all, making the other lads appear shorter, this made you feel tiny - you were utterly surrounded by tall lads, and poor Connie was shorter than you, "It is half 8 and I haven't even eaten breakfast yet so I don't want to be swallowing your bs. Will and y/n are just mates they're not together - stop thinking that just because a girl and a boy are friends means that they automatically like each other - that shit is childish fucking get a grip we're not in elementary anymore. It's her first day at school here let her get her bearings before you trying to assimilate her into dating one of y'all for experience points or whatever, or drag her into your friendship group when she's already got one of her own"
