She wanted to argue with Morgana about it but that would make Morgana suspect she was jealous of the dude again.

However, out of everyone she knew Artura was most jealous of Morgana. She was treated like Uther's daughter even though he had a daughter who was treated as a son.

The best part was she could sympathies with so many. She could sympathies with all the knights who trying to live up to their fathers reputation and standing. But she also knew how it felt to keep a life threatening secret. Okay hers might be less life threatening but she never wanted to find out what her father would do if people did find out.

"Valiant is a harsh fighter." Artura commented as he plowed through Sir Ewan.

"Yes, but he's a bit rash." Uther added but still stared at him almost eager. That probably meant he wanted a new knight in the court.

"He maybe harsh but all his actions are on point and smooth," Morgana countered.

Artura rolled her eyes bowing her head apologizing. Valiant was pushing the man down with his shield muttering so mambo jumbo. She didn't question it since he could be encouraging himself or asking for the bell to ring. It was nothing uncommon.

A grin spreads like butter across his face as he stood up Sir Ewan laid there unmoving. He raised his hands and the crowd cried with excitement. He was a crowd pleaser for sure.

Artura stands up staring at Sir Ewan. He should've gotten up by now the blow wasn't that hard. Merlin and Gaius raced onto the floor. Gaius had his medical bag, to her that meant it was nothing good.

Together Merlin and Gaius got him off the field with a little help from some heavy lifters. She knew she couldn't check on him right now but she made a mental note to do it as soon as plausible.

Merlin dashed in Gaius's room having huge news to share. "I've just seen one of the snakes in Valiant's shield come alive. He's using magic." Merlin painted taking a seat catching his breath.

Gaius raised his eyebrow high in the sky. "Are you sure?"

"The snake ate a mouse - one swallow, straight down. Sir Ewan was fighting Valiant when he collapsed. It must've been one of the snakes from the shield. I have to tell Arthur." Merlin ranted, head bobbing up and down.

Gaius frowned concerned. "Is there any chance you might be mistaken?"

Shaking his head waving his finger around he said, "I know magic when I see it."

"Perhaps, but have you any proof?" Gaius asked hoping he did so that they could expose the man quickly before anyone else got bitten.

Merlin felt hurt. He had turned to Gaius thinking he could trust him, that Gaius would believe him. "Don't you believe me?"

Gaius didn't answer straight my but instead lectured him a little. "I fear you'll land yourself in trouble. How will you explain why you were in Valiant's chambers?"

This was unbelievable Gaius didn't see the point people's lives are at risk who cares how he found it out. "What does that matter? He's using magic to cheat in the tournament!"

Gaius sighed fearing this conversation more and more. Why couldn't Merlin get it through his thick skull. "But you can't go accusing a knight of using magic without proof. The King would never accept the word of servant over the word of a knight."

To say he was surprised would be an understatement he figured that Uther would believe whoever. Magic was magic something Uther wouldn't dare just ignore no matter who said it, right? "What? So what I say doesn't count for anything?"
