Chapter Four

Gwen waves a hand getting his attention mouthing, "What are you doing here?" Merlin sighs in relief and motions towards Morgana and her dresses. "Oh." Gwen mouths the situation making more and more sense.

Artura allows them to continue their little mouthing conversation and she heads over to the Lady Morgana helping her zip up her dress. Morgana turns around to thank Gwen only to find it wasn't Gwen.

"Uh, Gwen who is this?" there was a little fear but mostly kindness as Morgana asked.

"I'm Alice," Artura introduces extending her hand smiling happily.

"Where's Gwen?" Morgana asked slightly shaking her hand, looking a little uncomfortable.

"Oh she's over there. A boy just walked in with some potion thing." Alice already making it sound like Merlin hadn't been in there but it was them or her the whole time.

Morgana nodded in understanding asking no questions about the bottle. "Gwen come over here I need you help. Oh and Alice you can help as well I suppose." Alice gave a small curtsy proud of how her acting skills were going.

Morgana turned around as Gwen came up beside Artura. She turned back around holding another dress but kept it behind her. "So, it's whether I wear this little tease..." she said showing off the royal blue dress she was wearing know.

She walks away from the screen over to her mirror showing the other dress grinning darkly. "Or give them a night they'll really remember." She says looking at the maroon dress. The two stared at them for a little bit before Alice pulled Gwen aside so they could discuss privately. I didn't take long to come to an agreement they turned around and insync they pointed to...

Merlin was allowed to come to the banquet thanks to Gaius finding him a small job as an insignificant servant. He glanced over at Arthur having fun leisurely time talking to his mates.

Merlin could make out a little bit of what they were saying, especially when he mentions his name, "Merlin..." the knights laugh enjoying the story. "So I stood up and..." Aurthur faked a punch pretending to hit one of the knights in the stomach. They all let out another chores of laughter.

Artura laughs along glancing at the doors as Morgana enters. She had to admit the maroon dress really did look stunning on her.

Lucky for her she wasn't the only one starring the whole room stopped what they were doing to look at her walk gracefully across the floor. Artura felt a slice of jealousy wishing she could wear a dress like that, but instead she was stuck playing Arrogant Prince Arthur.

Merlin found himself also starring as she walked passed him she didn't spare him a glance but that didn't matter to him. It never really did, what did was how they treated people and from what he had experienced today she was pretty swell.

Gaius places a hand on Merlin bring him back to earth. "Merlin. Remember, you're here to work."

Merlin smiles a little nodding, "Oh, yeah."

Merlin watched as the Prat Arthur walks over to talk to Lady Morgana. Gwen taking the opportunity to slide over to Merlin smiling proudly at her handy work.

"She looks great, doesn't she?" Gwen asks gesturing towards Morgana.

Merlin nodded in agreement his eyes not leaving Morgana, but not in a weird creepy way like some might he was just admiring her beauty. "Yeah."
