AFTER BELLA SWAN ultimately decides to choose Jacob when he imprints on her, Edward Cullen is left in shambles, and the last thing he expected was for Sage Romano to pick up the pieces. I mean, why would he? There was nothing special about her. She was an average human, with an average human personality, and an average human life. Not to mention an average GPA. But here's the thing about Sage Romano: she has a secret.
Not a big one — in fact, it's quite stupid. You see, her dad thinks he's a vampire hunter. He even owns a local pest control that masks as a bloodsucker hunting business. Sure, he's good at catching vermin, but that's not his passion, and he truly believes that he has a nose that detects vampires — even though he hasn't caught one, even though his daughter constantly tells him that his ideas are ludicrous. She has been engulfed in her father's batshit fantasy world her whole life, and not once has she seen anything remotely scary.
Sage Romano doesn't believe in bloodsuckers, or all things that go bump in the night, but when she agrees to be Edward Cullen's fake girlfriend to make his ex jealous, she decides that she might be a SUCKER FOR ONE THING.
