Lola pov:
After school i walk to the corner to meet jace and pick up my drugs but before i go to the atm and get out $150 to pay jace with. I go to the corner and wait a few minutes, pretending im on my phone and not looking suspicious at all.
"Hey darlin" i hear jace
"Hey jace do you have the stuff" i ask desperation coming into my voice a bit.
"Yeah yeah" he reach to hug me while slipping it into my pocket.
"Thanks" i smile
"No problem, are you going to the party tomorrow" he ask
"No ive got to study" i say truthfully
"Okay keeping up that innocent goody girl act, i like it" he say we talk for a few minutes, even though he's just my dealer, were still friendly, although you wouldn't class us as friends.
But then i notice the new boy, grayson walking towards us he hasn't noticed me yet but i need to leave asap, i can't let him see me with dodgy people.
"Jace i gotta go, i see someone i know" i say quickly
"Oh shit yeah" he says understanding that i dont want anyone to know about my other life.
I start walking away. "Lola what you doing here" he asks. Shit.
"Umm just walking home" i somewhat lie because i am gonna walk home
"You okay?" He asks looking down at me and back over towards jace, whos walking the opposite way so he can't really see his face or tattoos but he had a look in his eye that tells me he reconises him.
"Yeah i just ummm bumped into that guy nothing else" i awkwardly laugh
"Oh. okay, bye"he says looking lowkey relieved. Why its not like he knew jace.
We just split and i walk home.
