Allergies

So, I recently found some stuff about people working jobs that come in contact with food messing with people's orders because they think it's for a trend or whatever when it's actually for an allergy or other health issue.

Now, my story isn't exactly the same as I don't have any food allergies and I also don't blame the people who did it, but it relates.
I'm allergic to almost every adhesive meant for skin. Specifically in more sensitive areas (mostly my face but it can happen anywhere), it gets red and swollen and is just a bad experience for me and anyone around me watching me try not to cry because pain. I was a lead in my most recent show and had mic tape on my cheek. I had forgotten to tell them about my allergy (it's all my fault and I take the blame for it) and went home and immediately washed my face multiple times to get any adhesive off. I had a backup (not mic tape but worked in the same way, just without the allergen) and something I could put on my face to protect it. The backup was really thin and hard to use, so I went with the face wipe that put a protective layer on my face. Issue: it smells like rubbing alcohol and nail polish. I had to explain to my friends that they either dealt with the smell or me getting through 3 shows with a bad face (I also had bronchitis. That show kinda sucked). They were cool with it, mic crew was cool with it, it was all good. Until we had five minutes to be onstage for mic check and I did not have five minutes to coat my cheek, put on a mic, and tape it into position, all without smudging my makeup. I got home that night and crashed into my bed and didn't have time to wash my face before the next morning's rehearsal. I washed my face in a school water fountain.

I have had people urge me to put bandaids onto scrapes/cuts (occasionally on my face). Don't try to force someone into something like that. At best, they will have a mildly uncomfortable reaction. At worst, they can go to the hospital and possibly die. There's a reason why I use tissues instead of bandaids half the time.
