Chapter 1: Moving Day

Today is the day!
To say I'm excited is an understatement.
A fresh start. Checking on the kids through the reviewer mirror. Do-Won was fast asleep. He is such a cutie!. I check on Soo-ah and she is awake, looking out the window. Looking back on the road. "Soo-ah are you excited to see our new home?" I ask. Curious and a bit scared of what her response might be. She is usually someone full of energy always bouncing around. But ever since the accident she has gone into her shell. It didn't help that everyone pitied her. And said things like the poor child she has no parents right in front of her face! Like, come on! Oh, and what took the cake was when a few parents wouldn't let their kids play with Soo-ah because now she is an orphan. I swear to GOD I wanted to go to the school and beat all of their asses. Instead, I just fasten the moving process got her out of school and here we are.  Very slowly she answers "I am excited Auntie but do you think I will make any friends? What if they don't like me because I have no parents?"
My heart breaks once again. Trying to sound as assuring and confident as possible I answer her. "Sweetie, of course, you will make friends. You are fun, funny and super awesome. I believe in you" I give her a wink through the reviewer mirror ending me a small smile from her. Seeing that I do a little happy dance. Maybe things will be alright. Reaching or destination we get off the car. Helping Soo-ah out and getting a sleeping Do-Won out as well we walk in the new house. {house on the picture above}
"Woow Auntie! We are living in a castle?!" Soo-ah shrieks in excitement. I can't help but laugh. Going into the house we wait for the mover to get here.

I'm kind of second guessing myself with all this......🤔
