"Y/n, wake up!"
I groaned.

"You're gonna be late! Wake up!" I heard my dad call.
"I'm coming!" I groan.

I quickly got up and changed into something somewhat nice.

"Your mom had to go to work early, but she said that she loves you and hopes you have a great day."
"Thanks." I said, grabbing an apple.

"At  you ready?"
I nod.

"So, how are you feeling?" my dad ask, as he drove out of the driveway.
"Nervous, scared, wanting to go back home."
"You didn't get there yet though."
"I don't want to go, dad." I sigh.
"I know, but I promise you'll have fun."
"Sure."

"Bye, have fun!"
"Bye." I said, closing the car door.

I took a deep breath before walking into the building. Everything is new and different and I hate it. I miss my old friends and I don't know anyone here.

I wandered the halls until I found my homeroom.

I sat down in a seat in the far back near the window.

As time began to pass, people began filling in. They were all hugging and greeting each other. I hoped that there would be someone new also. Going into a new high school during junior year isn't a smart idea, but my mom got a job promotion so we had to move.

Someone sat down next to me and didn't say anything.

So either he is new or everyone hates him.

The bell ran and the announcements came on.

After they were over, the teacher started talking.

"So as you guys could tell, we have a few new students. Please welcome them and include them please. If they need help with finding directions, help them. I hope everyone had a great summer break and get ready to work hard this year!"

I sigh and began playing with the bracelets on my wrist.

"I like your shirt." the guy said.
I glanced at him. He was wearing a P! shirt. We were matching.
"Oh, thank you. I like yours too." I smiled.
He laughed.

"I'm Shawn."
"Y/n." I smiled at him.

"Are you new?" I ask.
"Yeah, I'm assuming you are too?"
I nodded.

"Can I see your schedule."
Shawn handed me his schedule.

"So we have first, lunch, and last period together." I smiled.
"Cool, so we can get lost together."
"Yes, because who needs school when you can just get lost in the hallways."
He laughed.

"I'm glad I chose this seat."
