"Happy birthday Luna! Happy birthday to you!"
The three boys clap as I blow my candles out and I laugh to myself. The whole thing was awkward. What are you supposed to do when they sing happy birthday to you?
"You're finally 20!" Grayson cheers before reaching under his chair. "This is for you".
"Gray, you didn't have to get me anything" I say honestly. "You and E are already paying for this whole trip".
"I know. But that's from me and E, this is just from me".
He places it in my hands and I look at it. I unwrap it to reveal a jewelry box. I lift the lid of the box and gasp at the sight of a rose gold necklace that I've been wanting for a while.
"Grayson!" I gasp. "This cost so much! Why?"
I look at him with tears in my eyes. It's pretty easy to make me cry.
"I knew you wanted it, so I got it for you" he smiles.
I lean forward and give him a small hug.
"Thank you. I love it so much Gray".
I close the jewelry box, scared to get it damaged before I can actually wear it. I thank Grayson again before I join into Ethan and Bryants conversation about being dairy free.
