A calm day

"We should build up a base." I turned my head towards Hookfang. It was the next morning after what had happened last night. Me and Hookfang offered to gather supplies for the next few days.

"Why do you say that?" I replied as I pulled some branches of a berry bush off a bush and set them on the blanket we're gonna use to carry it all back in. I could use them to make something sweet for the group later...

"Well we are probably gonna be getting more shifters joining us right? Soon enough not everyone is gonna fit up in that cave. Us dragons already sleep outside." Hookfang explained as he picked up some driftwood he found and set it on the blanket. I think that's enough stuff to last us awhile.

"That is true. I'll talk to the others and see what they think. Maybe tomorrow we could get working on it." I responded. It would be a good idea to set up an actual base in the clearing at the bottom of the mountain. "Alright, now we just need to do some fishing and we can head back."

We spent almost an hour fishing up everything we could find. Once done, we had a basket full of fish for everyone. Hookfang took care of caring the heavier load of supplies while I carried the basket of fish back.

I just finished talking to everyone and they all agreed we should make a camp as well so I currently busying myself with making a drawing of what the small camp would look like and different things we'd need. I wonder if we could steal somethings from the armory...

I turned my head at the sound of a little gruntle and saw MeatLug looking at me curious. I haven't really had a chance to talk with the adorable Gronckle yet so now would be the best time.

I shifted and turned to her, putting on my best smile. "Hello Meatlug." I said kindly. I always adored Gronckles a bit more than most other dragons. Gronckle shifters in the tribe are mostly trained to be blacksmiths.

"Hello!" She has the adorable voice of someone who was always excited. "It's nice to finally be able to talk to you hehe! You're really cool also! On the way here Fishlegs and Hiccup wouldn't stop talking about what they expected when they got here! Definitely not this but I can tell that Hiccup isn't upset about how things turned out~" She said the last bit in a bit of a suggestive tone.

I felt my cheeks flush (A/N: I checked with college friends and all 3 said furless animals can blush) as she said that. "W-What do you mean by that?" I asked nervously.

"Me and Toothless both saw what happened last night." She giggled. I blushed even more at that and looked away. "Don't worry! We won't tell the other." With that and a giggle, she walked off.

I looked over at where Hiccup was, organizing the others to get stuff for camp. Everyone he talked to flew off and he noticed me watching him. He smiled and waved a me slightly, resulting in me getting more red and using my wing to hide my face.

I was in charge of cooking tonight's dinner. It was just fish(again) but while out I found some herbs and spices to make it taste better. Yes, shifter's can eat raw meat but most prefer cooked and seasoned food. I was also gonna make some berry drinks to go with it. I think everyone will enjoy that. Blake came tonight also so it's like we're all gonna have a small party to celebrate.

Something caught the corner of my eye and I looked to see Stormfly come over to me. I made sure that the food we be good to cook itself for awhile and I turned to her, Shifting.

"Hi Stormfly!" I greeted kindly. I didn't want her on my bad side like Astrid.

"Er...hey F/N...listen. I can tell something is going on between you and Hiccup and Astrid is getting...a bit upset. Just know that she's blinded by jealousy and isn't thinking to straight. She most likely won't mean any of the things she says to you. She's just liked Hiccup ever since he showed her Toothless at first. It's not surprising she's upset about it..."
