Chapter 8
I walked out of the Music room slightly disturbed. Dez had ignored me after everyone had left the instruments room. Swiftly walking to my locker I grabbed my science and hurried to my last class of the day. It was slow and quiet sitting next to Kaydon. He would glance my way every few moments finally I had had enough.
“Are you okay? Why do you keep looking over here?” I whispered.
“Huh,” Kaydon blinked looking at me.
“Shhhh, I was seeing if you were alright.”
“Yea I’m fine.” He whispered smiling.

It was quiet after that, not much had happened after Vie had picked me up. I wanted to get home and sleep. Maybe even train after that, all I could say, that even though it was slow I was tired.
I sat my hat up on the dresser and stripped into a pair of shorts and t-shirt. Getting under the covers everything went quiet. It felt like if I only imagined, I would be there in Luciano’s arms. I remember when everything was perfect. I was in such an emotionless state when I had been taken that I had not been any of a problem. I remember sitting there on the ground with a blind fold over my face. It was the moment my life would change. It is the moment I will never forget. I touched my face like I had done when they had put the blindfold on. It felt different, almost like a nightmare. I drifted off, thinking about life.
Waking up was almost foreign to me. I woke up slow, I was still groggy, and it was moments before I realized two figures sitting on the ground talking.
“So when do you think she’s going to wake up, looks to be she’s in a deep sleep.” A boy said.
“I don’t know, but I don’t think we should bother her.” Another boy spoke. I tensed when I realising that people were in my room. I sat up quick, my vision blurred.
“W-what are you doing here!” I yelled flipping over. Putting my hand to the other side of the bed where I knew of a small jack knife. I held it above my head ready to strike while trying to get my vision back.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” the two backed up holding their hands up. I closed and opened my eyes again. I saw my duvet at the end of my bed I was facing the door. Blinking again and again, I made out two figures against the wall.
“What are you doing here?!” I yelled repeating myself.
“Red calm down, put it down, we won’t hurt you!” I blinked realizing it was the ginger boy from music class. Looking the other way I saw Roman with wide eyes. My vision was clear again, I lowered the knife.
“Your mom’s let us in,” the ginger spoke again. I put the knife back as the two relaxed.
“Why are you here though?” I asked calming down.
“We came for a visit; Dez said he wanted to talk to you.” Roman stepped forward as I sat up properly.
“Next time get my mom’s to come wake me up first.” I said grumpily pulling my duvet up, feeling cold.
“Sorry, we didn’t mean to freak you, like I said before, Dez wanted to talk to you.” I looked at the ginger boy as he shoved his hands in his pockets.
“Yea alone,” he said looking at Roman.
“Yea sorry that’s not happening whatever you say to chica you can say to me.” Roman said stepping forwards.
“Well, let’s ask the girl then eh?” Dez and Roman looked over eyeing me. I looked between the two before pointing at Roman then to the door. His shoulders slumped and he walked out pouting.
“Any funny business and I’m busting in.” Roman said before grabbing the door handle.
“I hope you can remember that I can take care of myself.” I snorted as he shut the door. Leaving us in silence; I waited for Dez to talk looking up at him from my bed.
“I’m sorry about before,” he mumbled looking at his feet. He looked up again, catching my gaze.
“What’s to be sorry for? It was an accident. No harm other than textbooks on the floor, you’ve already apologized.” I said pulling my duvet closer.
“No that’s not what I was apologizing for,” he paused, “when you came in for the project, I was really demanding, I wanted to ask you what that was before. Why did you stop playing?”
“I can’t tell you. All I can say is that playing the way I did brings back memories. Memories that were supposed to be forgotten, a long time ago. So suggest you just leave it alone. “I took a deep breath.
“Well, if that’s all you’re going to tell me then okay.” He turned around opening the door to let in Roman. Roman walked straight over to me staring.
“What are you looking at?” I said meekly.
“He didn’t hurt you?” Roman said glaring back at Dez.
“Oh please if anything I could kick his butt.” I said loud enough for Roman to hear.
“Well alright then.” He said standing straight, “Get your stuff on girlie because it’s my last day, and we’re going to the movies.” He walked out with Dez, “we’ll be waiting out here.” Closing the door he smirked. I sighed looking at the blinking 4:35 numbers on the clock; being pulled out of bed on a Wednesday night was definitely not expected. I pulled on my polka-dot jumper over my t-shirt and grabbed some leggings. Still a bit groggy I changed and walked out.
“Let’s go!” Roman linked arms with me pulling me towards the door. I stumbled and pulled back.
“I haven’t even told Evie are you crazy?” I walked back and towards the kitchen. “Evie?!” I yelled out.
“Yea Hun?” she popped her head out from the T.V. room.
“We’re going to a movie I’ll be back before eight.”
I waved as she yelled out, “Don’t spoil your dinner! & Drive safe!”
“We will!” Roman yelled out behind me as I put my shoes on.
