"Are you going to tell him?"

Rachel blinked as she stared up at the white popcorn ceiling.

"Rach?"

"Hmm?" she asked as she turned her head to face her inquisitor.

"Come on cub, I know you were listening," sighed Victor.

"I don't want to talk about this daddy," Rachel responded returning her gaze upward while tucking an arm under her head.

Her father growled lightly. He had been asking her the same question for the last three months. To say he was angry when she told him what happened would be an understatement. It took three of his buddies to keep him from hunting down Dean and tearing him limb from limb.

Now here he sat, in an exam room, at his daughter's twenty-week appointment. Typically, his wife Amanda or Megan came to the appointments with her, he was begged to be at this one though.

The ultrasound tech knocked gently on the door pulling him from his thoughts, "yup," he called out.

The perky blonde all but bounced into the room, "Good morning! How's our mommy?"

"Hard-headed and stubborn," Victor mumbled earning him a glare from his daughter.

"I've been keeping my blood pressure levels low and avoiding salty foods," responded Rachel.

The blonde made note of Rachel's response on a card and placed it off to the side. Victor perked up when he saw her walk to the other side of his daughter, "whatcha doin there?"

She gave him a smile as she turned on a monitor, "well twenty-week check-up means we're gonna see if this little one is a mister or a miss."

His eyes grew wide, and he looked at Rachel, "did you know this?"

"It's why I wanted you here with me today dad," Rachel nodded her head and smiled.

"Well, alright!" Victor slid his chair closer to the exam table as the tech set everything up. He took her hand in his with a proud smile, it made him think back to the moment about a year ago when he sat here with his wife. His smile faltered for a moment, wondering if Dean knew about his kid.

Rachel had been very hush about the subject and refused to talk to anyone about it. Almost immediately she demanded everyone around her take a vow of silence. As a father, it broke his heart to know there was a man out there who possibly didn't know he had someone else to love.

As her father, he was proud she was standing her ground. Hell, he was still ready to give that son of a bitch a beatdown for the things he said and did three months ago.

"Well, this is interesting," the tech's voice pulled him from his thoughts. He's really gotta catch her name!

"What! What's wrong?" asked a suddenly worried Rachel, he shushed her lightly and gave her hand a squeeze.

"It appears you're going to be busier than you expected."

Victor paled he'd heard similar words not too long ago.

"I'm looking at the last few reports, they've recorded a strong heartbeat with a very slight echo and a beautifully growing fetus. It appears though," she stopped to move their attention to the monitor another part of the monitor, "that this lad has been hiding his little sister."

Megan smiled at her toddler sitting in his highchair laughing and throwing goldfish crackers at his father. In just two months her baby boy would be a year old, two months after that he would become a big brother. She sighed happily and took a sip of her hot tea, never would she imagined they would be ready to have another baby so soon.

They were making it work though, she cut back on her hours at the hospital and Ben, unfortunately, Ben was elbow deep in a serial murder investigation that was causing him so much stress. He had no suspect, no hard evidence even if he did have one, the deaths had suddenly stopped.

One cryptic message on a wall in blood then nothing. It didn't help that he was now having to take on all his work solo considering his partner had been fired.

She was doing everything she could to lower the stress levels at home for him. It didn't help that the selfish best friend of his made him his Best Man in that sham of a wedding that's just three months away. Megan refused to have any part in it, she even left the house when Dean would stop by. She hated that her husband was stuck in the middle of the situation.

She would never hold it against him though, his friend's actions were not his own there was no need to punish her husband for something Dean got himself into. Ben had come home and told her what had happened that morning.

Dean wanted to wait for the blood test results to come back before anything was said to Rachel. It was a smart idea, considering the situation, however, results came back 'inconclusive.' Dean had no choice but to go through with the contract or his mother would lose everything.

Rachel understood Ben's obligation to his best friend however asked him to take a vow of secrecy about her pregnancy. Ben agreed but only after she agreed to listen to what he had learned about the situation. Rachel hadn't changed her mind though and he agreed to respect her wishes and not tell Dean about the baby.

She reassured him she would tell Dean herself when she was ready. If she ever was.

Megan watched her husband interact with their ten-month-old. He was such a great father, and friend. She will never understand how she had gotten so lucky. The ring of their doorbell pulled her from her thoughts.

"I'll get it, you have some cleaning up to do," Megan told him with a smile and motion towards the fish now scattered all over her kitchen floor.

Megan was greeted with a box of donuts as she opened the door, "well hello fried heaven."

Rachel laughed as she released them into her hands, "I figured you'd be okay with me bringing something sweet and fried."

"Sweetie, if you bring me stuff like this you can live here."

Megan nodded her head to invite her in, "we're settled in the kitchen for right now, Chase has been fishing for the last hour."

Rachel tilted her head in confusion as she followed her friend and then ah'd when she was greeted with the sight of her godson tossing goldfish.

Megan grabbed a donut from the box and began tearing it into small pieces for her little mess maker.

"He won't eat the fish, what makes you think he's going to want that," sighed Ben.

Chase quickly snatched a few donut pieces and shoved them into his mouth with a wide smile showing off his eight teeth.

"Buddy you weren't supposed to prove mom right," Ben chuckled with a shake of his head.

"Alright, I know today was the day," Megan smiled at Rachel as she grabbed her own donut, "what's it gonna be? Am I getting a niece or a nephew?"

"Your appointment was yesterday, and you refused to tell me," laughed Rachel, "so it's only fair you tell me before I tell you."

"But," Megan pouted.

"Babe, she brought you donuts," Ben said.

"Whose side are you on? You traitor," Megan scoffed at Ben's comment. He just shook his head.

"Fine," Megan sighed then smiled down at her twenty-two-week bump, "we're having another boy."

"Oh my god, Meg!" Rachel squealed happily, "me too!"

"Really?" Megan grabbed Rachel in a hug.

"Yup!" Rachel responded with a laugh returning her friends hug, "and a girl!"

The kitchen fell into instant silence.

"What?" Megan asked slowly letting go of her, watching her face to see if she was kidding.

"Yeah," Rachel smiled, "twins!"

Ben plugged his ears as Chase joined in with his mother and aunt as the squealed with excitement.
