"Looks like someone has an admirer," smiled the receptionist as she brought a dozen white lilies into Rachel's office.

She gave her a tight smile, "thanks Casey, just place them over there."

Casey gave Rachel an odd look, "that's the trash can."

"Yup," Rachel all but growled.

A sigh came from the doorway, "hand them here Casey and return to your post. You'll have to forgive her, she's cranky when she's had no sleep."

Rachel glared at her best friend as she relieved the receptionist of her parcel and placed them on the edge of the desk.

"I'm sorry for last night, please allow me to make it up to you and give us both a chance to prove the other wrong. Dinner? -Dean," Megan smiled as she read the card out loud to the doctor in front of her. "Awe, how sweet."

"You told him to do that didn't you."

"No!" Megan gasped and Rachel looked at her friend in disbelief. "Fine, but he wanted to send roses and I know how cliche you think those are."

Rachel rolled her eyes, "ever think that maybe I thought he was a cliche as well."

"No, you don't," sighed Megan as she walked around her friend's desk, "you're just scared."

"I'm not scared."

"Rach, you've had a crush on Dean for years, 'if it's meant to be it'll be' is your response every time I offer to set you two up. This is all his doing I swear," Megan reached out to her friend turning her so they were facing each other. "It's been over a year since... oh my god."

Rachel gave her friend a small smile "Yeah I have no idea, all I know is I woke up this morning and they were completely gold."

"But... tomorrows a NEW moon."

"Yes, Megan I'm pretty positive I know the lunar cycle," chuckled Rachel.

"No, I mean of course you know, but aren't they supposed to be..."

"Blue? yeah."

"How are you feeling?" Asked a concerned Megan, "any tiredness, nausea, aggression, urge to punch my husband in the face."

"Hey, that happened once ."

"I'm just checking!"

"I've been a little feverish but other than that I'm completely fine, I've taken a blood sample and had it sent to the lab though just in case. Labeled it anonymous with orders for a full work-up." Rachel explained, "Now you see why I'm hiding in my office today though. I told Reinhold I had some files that needed updating as soon as I got in so she wouldn't put me on the board."

"I knew I should have gone the analytical doctor route. You get so many more privileges."

"Not really, I still have a board of directors I need to keep happy," laughed Rachel.

"True," Megan sighed, "you purposely distracted me. Let me know the second the results come back and what are you going to say to Dean."

Megan was doing her best 'puppy dog eyes' and trying not to laugh.

"Fine, if I agree to dinner with him will you stop trying to hook me up with guys."

"Rach," Megan smirked, "I'm positive that one dinner with him and I won't need to play matchmaker anymore."

She reached across her desk and picked up the card from the flowers, flipped it over and wrote 'Okay, I'm off tomorrow night. ONE chance -R.' Then waved it in the air until it faded from her hand. "Happy now?"

"Ecstatic!"
