3 years later (long ass coma)

I haven't heard Chris's voice in so long, was I asleep that long or has he not visited? I just think he hasn't visited. When my brain would tune in, I wouldn't hear anyone in here but the doctors or sometimes my mother.

Right now my brain is awake and active and I can't hear anyone.

I wonder how everyone is, or how long it has been now? Probably only a month or so. I obviously can't keep track myself.

I heard someone enter the room, like I heard their footsteps.

"Hey, my sunshine." I knew that voice from anywhere, it was my mother.

I felt her grab my hand, "There has been a lot of activity going on, so hopefully that's a sign that you'll wake up soon." She said

"Oh, and your kids are so big now! Milani is 9, Messiah turned 11 and they're looking more and more like you and Chris each day." She said and rubbed my cheek

Wow. So it has been a minute then if my babies have grown up.. well to me they have.

Tell me about Chris!  Where the hell is he?

She sighed, "Chris is supposed to be coming up here to see you later on, that's if he doesn't bail like he has been doing lately." She said

Why? Why has he been putting off seeing me? Here I am excited to see him as if I can actually see him, but he's putting off seeing me.

"Hey, Michelle." I heard the voice I've been waiting on say, Chris.

"Oh, Hi Chris." She said dryly, she's disappointed in him.

"Can I talk to you?" He asked

She sighed, "Sure..." I heard her say

"Can we step in the hall though?"

"Why?" My mother asked

"Because she can still hear us." Chris said

What are they going to talk about that I can't hear?

I sighed, I've been putting off this conversation for a minute now but it has been eating at me for a while and I can't wait any longer.

I took a deep sigh, "I think we should just pull the plug." I said

"What? No!" Michelle yelled

"Calm down, and we have to, well since it's coming out of my pockets I have to." I said

"But she's having so much brain activity-"

"She's been having brain activity since 3 years ago, of course the doctors are gonna tell you that, the longer we wait the more money I'll have to keep spending to keep her on. The doctors already told me that it's very unlikely for her to wake up now, her brain is a few stages from going into the vegetative state and there's no returning." I explained
