     On that day, a new child was born to a regular civilian family. It brought great joy to the mother as she held up her new child that had brown hair and eyes. Her eyes crinkled at their corners as she smiled warmly at her new kid. 

     However, for a split second, she saw the ghostly appearance of purple marks on her newborn daughter's cheeks. Blinking fast, she saw that they had disappeared and just pushed the thought aside as a 'trick of the light.'

     Swaddling up her child in a blanket, she cooed softly, kissing her gently on the forehead. After so long, she had achieved in getting pregnant with a baby girl... She wasn't about to let this moment go.

     Yes, she was now a proud mother. A man slipped in through the door to the room, panting heavily as he was out of breath. "Did *pant* I make it in time?"

     "Dear, " she sighed, "Not quite... But look at her."

     Holding up the kid, the father could examine her closely with her button nose and wide eyes. She was plain yet oh-so-magical at the same time.

     "I haven't had to name her yet-."

    Suddenly, the man's eyes darkened, as if his body was possessed. He moved robotically to cradle his newborn child. There was something wrong with him. "Rin."

     The new mother hadn't caught on to her husband's erratic actions and hummed a short, "Hmm...?"

     "Her name is Rin."

     "That's a wonderful name!" she gushed with a swell of pride over her daughter's name, "Rin-chan... Welcome to the world."

     His eyes returned back to their normal shade of green and he shook his head, not knowing that exactly had come over him. "Ah, yes, Rin-chan."

    Rin's mother fell asleep from the stress of delivering a baby and her breaths became deep and steady. 

Now... Let us see how she copes.

     A plain girl that attended a plain school. That was what became of Rin Nohara, or now known as Rin Maru. She was a person with average grades and had normal friends. Rin was a person that had no connections with shinobi except for the fact that her village ran it. 

    Her big plans for the future was to take over her mother's bakery and run it on her own. 

However, she didn't really have friends.

Why was it like that?

Why didn't Rin Maru have the heart to make friends?

What was with that pain?

She couldn't remember.

     "Ha! You bitch! You fucking think that you're somebody?! You're a fucking loser! You don't even make friends with all the shitty losers in here!"

     Growling, her female classmate shoved her to the ground, "You think that you're above everyone else, don't you!"

    Rin could already tell what the mix of faces in the crowd was going to be. Joyful. Disgusted. Indifference. Fearful. Relieved.

    Yes, she could remember now. I just don't want anyone else to get hurt.

     Rin smiled and then her face was pummeled by an incoming strike.
