I fell asleep after listening to the music for so many times just to understand the lyrics. Nagising nalang ako na nasa tabi ko na ang cellphone ko at suot parin ang damit na sinuot ko nang pumunta ako kila Licht.
"Ma'am, nakahanda na 'po ang breakfast sa baba. " I immediately went down from my bed and pick some clothes.
"Sila papa? "
"Nasa baba narin po, hinihintay kayo. "
"15 minutes. " I said before rushing to the bathroom.
Sa sobrang pagmamadali ay halos hindi ko na nasabon ng maayos ang sarili ko. I immediately dry myself with towel and wear my clothes on.
"I'll just take a bath again. " kausap ko sa sarili ko habang nakatingin sa repleksyon ko sa salamin at inaayos ang ribbon ng bestida ko.
When I'm finally contented with my look, I rushed down stairs and found my parents on the dining area having a talk.
"You should stop it, Jestin Zenn. It's no good. "
"It is. Hindi lang para sa kompanya, para narin kay Serenity. "
"You think so? " papa tilted his head and I can see how deep his eyes pierced on mom.
"Yes. Serenity needs to know- "
"Can you hear yourself? Ano ba'ng nangyayari sayo? Hindi ka naman ganito. "
"You knew I'm like this ever since we first met. "
"Cut it out. I won't allow you to- "
"What's the menu for today? " I interrupted as I walk closer to the dining table.
Hell knows how much I'm trying to balance myself. Unti unting nanginginig ang tuhod ko sa di malamang dahilan. I tried to give them a smile as I sat on the chair in front of mom. Agad na bumalik sa utak ko ang nakita ko kanina.
Those people who are talking earlier aren't my parents... hindi sila iyon.
"What's your plan for your vacation, sweetheart? " tanong ni papa habang nilalapag ng mga kasambahay ang iba't ibang pagkain sa lamesa.
He smile at me. It was genuine. I can feel the warmth on that smile. This smile is so gentle... malayong malayo sa aroganteng mukha nya kanina.
"Wala pa... "
"Really? But, we won't be here tomorrow. Baka next next week na ang uwi namin. "
"I'm fine, pa. " I smiled. Nang dumako ang tingin ko kay mama ay agad akong napatuwid ng upo.
Her eyes looks like it was examining my whole appearance until it get through my soul.
"You sure? " I nodded. "Contact me if you needed something okay? You're free to go wherever you want. " dad said, emphasizing his last sentence.
Hindi nakatakas sa'kin ang pagsulyap nya kay mama.
My heart beats rapidly with the heavy atmosphere. I can't believe what I'm seeing right now. Alam kong hindi kami perpektong pamilya. Everyone here were trying to hide something in the dark. Everyone here has filth in there hands tainted with dark secrets.
But this... this two person in front of me...
