Josie’s P.O.V.

Of course the first place the guys would pick is a bar. Unfortunately we were all underaged so drinking was a pretty big problem. I kept my head down and tried to hide my face as best as I could so I wouldn’t be recognized. I was on a fairly bigger scale in the music industry compared to Luke, not that they weren’t large of course. But I’ve been around longer and just been in the limelight enough for people to start noticing me on the street. Fortunately, the bartender recognized me and managed to slip us a few drinks

"Perks of being recognized," I smiled sipping our freshly opened beer

That was only the start of the night though. The buzz started to hit us after multiple beers and one too many shots. I’d like to think that I did as well as Michael, Calum, and Ashton when I was drunk, but Luke was pretty light weight if I had to be honest. The beers got him pretty good and the shots did a number on him. We came out of the bar letting the cool air hit our hot sweaty bodies from being confined in that small bar filled with other drunks looking for fun. We were walking around town one part sight seeing and the other part was looking for something fun to do. Until we found it. We found a self service bike rental station and we couldn’t help but ride them

In our drunken state it felt like a whole new experience having the wind blowing against us as we rode through the empty town, but the bike ride sobered us up a bit

"ON TOP OF THE WORLD!" Michael yelled as he stood up on his bike letting go of the handles

"You’re gonna hurt yourself Clifford!" I laughed at how ridiculous he was

We were riding around aimlessly until we found a park illuminated by christmas lights around the trees

We all took up one bench. Luke sat next to me draping his arm over my shoulder and the cold made me snuggle up against him closer than usual. There was a park nearby so of course Ashton, Calum, and Mike went off to “look at it” when they were really there to play around. When Luke and I were alone he positioned himself with his head laying on my lap as a pillow. My right hand rested on his chest while my left hand was playing with his hair

"I wish we could stay like this forever," Luke said softly looking up at me. His nose was getting a little stuffed from the alcohol and the cold mixed together

"I know, it’s nice to feel…free," I smiled

"You think we’ll really be the same after three months is over?" Luke asked

I didn’t understand why this was bothering him so much. Of course we’d be the same. Nothing would change the only difference would be that we weren’t a publicity stunt anymore.

"Stop stressing over it Hemmings. We’re friends now, we’ll be friends after," I reassured him

Luke’s P.O.V.

"Stop stressing over it Hemmings. We’re friends now, we’ll be friends after," She told me

"Friends," I muttered under my breath

"What?" She asked

"Hey are you guys ready to go?" Ashton asked walking towards us with Cal and Mikey trailing behind him

"Yeah," I replied

I got up and held my hand out to help Josie get up

"Woah your hand is so warm," She said feeling my hand in both of hers

"Thanks?" I questioned

"No, it’s like on a different level warm Luke," She replied placing one of her hands on my forehead
