I set apart who I was for what you are.
I lack patience and intend harm,
You bring peace and solace that disarm.
When Im drowning underneath the waves
You bring me to the surface and wipe my tears away
No matter how much I want you to stay
I know my sins will lead me astray
and you will turn your face the other way when I become a disgrace
I think the devil is a disease
I pray for you to make him flee from me
So I can be faithful in what I believe
I apologize for falling in love with temporary things and temporary people
I know you had to break my heart in order to teach me a few lessons, so I listened.
I read your words with my eyes closed and lost my soul
Everytime I turned a blind eye my insides started to mold
Nothing good came out of it, only the devil benefit.
My hands are filthy so I'm here to wash them clean at your feet
I set a part who I was for who you are
Because I lack patience and intend harm,
But you bring peace and solace that disarms.
