logan really wanted to meet whoever sent him these letters. he won't admit it out loud but he does feel a warmth in his chest whenever he reviews the letters.

he felt a smile form on his face, which he for once didn't mind. no one would see after all. virgil is asleep while roman is upstairs. patton is at the library.

speaking of patton, he returned in the house at the same time when logan smiled. logan immediately looked away and returned his cold expression. 

"hi logan." the mute hastily wrote on a piece of paper and showed before walking to the dining room.

the intellect could've sworn that he saw patton's smile turn into frown for a second before leaving the living room.

once patton got in the dining room, he sat on one of the chairs there at the table and moved the plate of cookies over to him before eating the said cookies with an anxious expression. his thoughts raced in his mind as he ate.

'did i say something wrong?'

'what did i mess up on?'

'does he dislike me being around?'

'does he hate me-'

patton's whirlwind of thoughts came to an abrupt stop when he saw logan at the doorway of the room. "patton? is there something you want to talk about?" the intellect asked with a concerned tone. his expression doesn't share the same, unfortunately.

patton looked down for a moment at the plate of cookies in front of him before writing on the notepad he brought along him. 

'i'm fine.' he wrote.

"falsehood. you look shaken. please, tell me what is bothering you." logan said.

patton felt more anxious but he tries not to let it on. 

'really, i'm fine. the weather's chilly for me than usual.' he wrote.

logan thought for a moment before speaking. "alright. but if you need or want anything, i'll be in the living room." he said before leaving the mute be.

patton watched logan leave with a sad expression as he mentally whispered something to himself that he wished that he could say to logan without fear or doubt.
