Once they were all gone, you fell back into your chair and groaned loudly. It wasn't that this was your first lecture but having so many eyes on you at once drained you. Taking a few deep breaths, you were able to calm yourself down.

Quickly getting up, you began to pack up your stuff. Fitting it all into your bag, you headed towards the door and then out onto the university campus. Many students greeted you passed, since last year you had gained a little fame. Tony legally adopted you and this was announced publicly, he was quite well known so this didn't go unnoticed. You generally kept out of the public eye, only going out when you worked with the Avengers or gave lectures like today.

As you walked down the street, you felt your phone buzz in your pocket. Picking it up, you immediately knew that it was a call from Tony. You couldn't help but let out another groan, him calling you now could only mean one thing. You answered, lifting the phone to your ear.

"What do you want now? My costume and staff are back at the tower, you don't expect me to go out right now, do you? I just finished a lecture." Tony chuckled on the other side of the line.

"Sorry, Princess, but this isn't your call." You glared ahead of you.

"Princess? Who do you think you're calling Princess?" you growl, already wound up from having to do another lecture. He sighs, obviously not having time for any of your difficult behaviour.

"Sorry. Anyway, we need your help downtown." You pinch the bridge of your nose, letting out a long breath.

"You know I don't have my sui-" You cut yourself off as you watched one of Tony's drone suits arrive, holding both your white suit and jade staff. You quickly took them from the drone, having it follow you as you ran off to find somewhere to change. Locating a public bathroom, you rushed inside and locked yourself in the first available stall. From there you quickly changed, shoving you worn clothes into your bag.

Finished, you headed out and allowed the drone to take your bag. People pointed, whispering as they recognised you. You were now a superhero who went by the name Ghost since your abilities were similar to those of the paranormal creature. Becoming invisible and being able to phase through objects. You were a well-known Avenger after your debut over a year ago, that was when a lot of things changed for you. Without warning, Tony's voice was projected from the drone.

"Get on, it'll take you to us." You hesitantly followed his orders, not too happy about having to leave now. You were exhausted and promised your daughter to come home early.

Timeskip

Arriving at the tower, you couldn't help but groan for the third time that day, pulling off your hood and mask. A few guards chuckled at your behaviour, life had been quite hard on you these past couple of years.

"Why did aliens have to attack today?" you mutter. Tony pet your head roughly before heading to the elevator, a few of the Avengers following him.

"Stop complaining, kid. You signed up for this," he smirks as the metal doors close and hide him from view. You sigh and go to press the button to call another elevator only to notice a panicked Peter, running around the ground level. He looked as if he was looking for something, but he also looked afraid. You approached the boy, unintentionally giving him a fright when he saw you.

"Whatcha looking for?" you ask, glancing around to see if there was anything out of place. He swallowed hard, avoiding your eyes.

"It's uh Mona, Tony called me to look after her but as soon as she saw you weren't here she ran off. I can't find her anywhere." You were exhausted and didn't have time for this. It wasn't that you weren't worried about her, you were, it was just that Mona was no normal two year old. She had both yours and Loki's abilities, this made her a real troublemaker.

Your eyes scanned the floor, immediately freezing when you felt something latch onto your leg. Looking down, you noticed a full head of black hair pulled up into two small pigtails. The small person looked up at you with a wide smile, her eyes a deep, captivating green.

"Mommy!" she cheers, raising her arms, wanting to be picked up. You give in and pick her up, giving her a hug as soon as she was in your arms.

"Were you being a good girl for Peter, Mona?" you ask her. She nodded in response. Your eyes drifted to the spider boy, chuckling at how he placed his hands on his knees while trying to catch his breath. Once he recovered you smiled brightly at him.

"Thank you for coming, I was called over by Tony right after my lecture." He shakes his head, holding up his hand to stop you.

"It's fine, there was only a problem because she knew when you were coming home and you weren't there when she expected. I just guess that she wanted to see you so she went searching around the building. It's a good thing that you showed up now, I think I would've died if I had to run a second longer," he chuckles nervously. You smile down at the teenager, ruffling his hair before heading to the now empty elevator.

"I'm glad that she was found and that you were trying so hard to find her. I just hope that next time Tony will call you out to help rather than giving you babysitting duty. If you're busy just give Sam a text, I've never seen someone run so fast when after I send him a message." The two of you laugh, the elevator doors closing as you wave to each other. You hoped that babysitting and searching the building for Mona didn't inconvenience Peter too much, he was busy with school and you didn't want to be a liability.

While heading up in the elevator, you stole a glance at your daughter who happily played with the material of your battle suit. She seemed to be tired, worn out from using her abilities so much around the building. She nuzzled into your neck, squinting her eyes she tried to stay awake. It didn't go her way, eventually, she fell asleep. You smiled softly down at the sleeping girl, unable to stop yourself from cuddling her as she slept.

When you got to your apartment, you took Mona to her room and lay her down in her cot. Pulling the blankets over her small body, you couldn't help but think about Loki. She looked a lot like him, there was an obvious resemblance. She had his eyes and hair but your facial structure and skin tone, she was beautiful. Before you left the room, you placed a kiss on her forehead and felt a rush of excitement for tomorrow. You weren't working and had promised Mona to spend the entire day together. Sure, she was young but she a good memory. If you forgot, you'd have to face her wrath and no one wanted that.

Arriving in your own room, you changed out of your hero suit before jumping into bed. You fell asleep almost immediately, after such a full-on day you had no energy left. Nothing interrupted your slumber but during the night, you were sure that you felt something warm touch your forehead.

Just wanted to clarify that I used Ghost from the Marvel universe. She may not be that well known but she was the "villain" in the new Antman movie, Antman and the Wasp. I thought that it fit because of her similar abilities, I was sure that I had another idea of who to base her on as an already existing hero but I couldn't find it. This will do though, the design of her costume is cool and I really enjoy her as a character. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed, sorry to say this but the next chapter will be the last.
