McCree, Hanzo, Genji, & Tracer Whose S/O is Upset for Their Parent

Request: "Okay, let's give this a shot! How would (platonic and romantic if you don't mind) McCree, Hanzo, Genji, and Tracer react to their S/O being upset because their dad is loosing his memories? Today I found out that my dad is loosing his, and I really need some comfort. I don't mind if you're uncomfortable with it, you don't have to write every request. Thank you! (12/11/2017)"

McCree

He's not totally sure how to react to your father's condition, since he's never had to experience such a situation

But he knows you need comfort and good vibes and he's gonna damn well try his hardest to provide both

When you initially tell him, looking absolutely distraught, his heart almost breaks for you

He picks you up in a big hug, then settles on the couch with you for comforting cuddles

Asks you if you'd like something to drink or eat to perhaps help you relax a bit

Wraps you in his serape and gives you his hat to wear while he prepares and brings you whatever hot drink and comfort foods that you desire

Then he sits with you snuggled into his side while he rubs your back and shoulders to soothe you a bit more

If you cry, he'll hold you and rock slowly back and forth, telling you that it's okay to be upset and to just take all the time you need

If you're comfortable with him doing so, he might ask you a few questions about the situation, such as how bad the memory loss is, if there's any methods your family might be able to create to help him remember somewhat while he still can, etc

In the end he tells you he's very sorry and that, while he's never experienced such an event himself, he'll do his best to help you get through it

He'll be with you every step of the way

Hanzo Shimada

Not going to lie, he's a little awkward about the whole situation

Mainly because he knows he doesn't deal with sadness and grief very well himself

But you need him, so he tries his best

Runs you a bath to help you relax a bit (baths are one of his favorite calming factors, so he hopes it works for you too)

Maybe adds some essential oils or candles with soothing scents as well

When you're out and dressed if your favorite fluffy pajamas, he helps you snuggle down with some tea and snacks that he knows are proven to soothe and comfort

He encourages you to rest but he won't make you if you'd prefer not

He'll sit with you instead, encouraging quiet conversation or perhaps simply comfortable silence

When you eventually do doze off from the event's stresses, he'll carefully move you to your bed and tuck you in

Genji Shimada

Immediately tells you how sorry he is for your situation and softly embraces you

Asks you if you'd like to sit down and if he get you anything

After you're settled, he joins you

He'll encourage you to talk about the event and how you're feeling because it's unhealthy to tuck away those feelings

Holds your hand the entire time

If you cry, he'll carefully hold you and rub your back

When things are settled again, he suggests sharing positive and funny stories about your father and family to perhaps lift the mood; plus, such things are known do be comforting at times

He may eventually suggest that you take some time to rest and process as well, offering to stay with you while you do so

Tracer

She's just as heartbroken as you are, whether she knows your family well or not

She immediately runs to you and wraps you in her arms, gently rocking and muttering how sorry she is

Then she pulls away and asks if there's anything she can do, if there's anything she can get for you or if you have somewhere you want to go to distract yourself for a bit

Whatever you need, she's on it in seconds

Absolutely dotes on you the entire time

Listens to everything you have to say about the situation

Visits your father with you if you don't want to go alone

Helps you however she can
