Soldier 76 Meeting a Vigilante Who Was his S/O From Before the Fall

You were both on the same mission at the time, so it made it that much worse when you didn't make it back from the battlefield

He was absolutely devastated

He tried not to let it show but it was pretty difficult when your friends and colleagues were openly mourning for you as well

Then the fall happened not too long after, which was just another rough hit to a fresh wound

Jack disappeared after that and lost most contact with the other members of Overwatch

Though he kept just enough touch that when the recall happened, he was already on his way back

Silver haired and much more scarred up but he was there

He actually ran into you during his way back

You were roughing up some bad punks who were part of a group notorious for drugs, illegal ammo, and generally terrorizing people

He had decided to pop in to help your cause, even though you really didn't need it

One of the first times in a while that you didn't kill everyone you attacked, or most of them, but the new guy was a little preoccupying

He didn't recognize you yet, though, because you wore an elaborate outfit that hid your identity

His current attire, however, hides him well enough to everyone else but not well enough to hide himself from you

"Jack..?"

It was hidden behind his visor but his eyes widened with both surprise and caution

He moved to raise his gun but you removed the helm and mask of your uniform faster

Despite being being badly scarred on one side of your face, laugh wrinkles starting to form around your eyes and lips, and the start of silvery hairs peeking out from the rest, you looked very much like yourself

Instead of raising his gun, Soldier dropped it and couldn't help but stare for a bit

You were teary-eyed and you guessed (correctly) that his were as well

The two of you embraced for what seemed like all the years you had been ripped away from each other, the silence after the storm of fighting broken by soft sniffles and quiet murmurings of how much the two of you missed each other

You broke away to hide your face again, for safety purposes, then finished up the current job by tying up the punk gang members where authorities would be able to find them

The living ones anyway

Then you invited Jack back to the cozy but quite small place where you currently spent your sleeping hours, for drinks and catching up and cuddling that's been long overdo

When Soldier 76 shows up for the recall, you're masked figure is at his side
