Ch.22~ We'll be alright

I slammed my foot to the accelerator, and stared at my watch. 40 minutes, till I could see her. What would I even say? Would she just leave? What if I didn't reach on time?

My head hurt, and I thanked God I only had the chance to have one glass of champagne and I was quite sure I was sober.

20 minutes later the airport was in view. Thank the freaking Gods. 

I parked the car and threw a 20 dollar bill at the attendant, running into the airport. I jumped over crowds and a TSA officer asked for my ticket.

"I don't have it, " I admitted.

"Sir, you wil have to go back."

"No, m-my my best friend Allyson, I need to see her."

"I'm sorry sir," she said and I turned around. 

"Austin-austin." A male voice called my name twice.

I swirled around, "Yes?'

The sturdy guy with brown hair looked at me, in his TSA outfit. "Austin, I'm Dez's friend. Allyson hasn't checked in yet."

Determination, burnt in my eyes. "it's s'okay. I'm going to wait here."

He patted my back.

I waited. One hour. Two. She didn't come. Sadness bubbled in me, as I stumbled towards the car.

"What should i wear?"  I questioned her.
