and suddenly,
i was lost.
floating, swimming, drifting
far, far away.
i got lost in the way your hands slipped around my waist,
comforting, warm, safe.
i got lost in your hazel green eyes-
it was like drowning in a pool of honey.
i got lost in the way you whispered in my ear,
'i love you s and 'i want you's.
they were hungry words, caring words, and they only sounded right coming from your lips.
and suddenly,
i was lost.
floating, swimming, drifting
far, far away.
you took me to places i'd never been-
places of love, places of patience.
i'd never been to these places before.
you took me into your mind-
and all that i saw was me.
and you thought it was the most beautiful sight you'd ever seen.
and suddenly,
i was lost.
floating, swimming, drifting
far, far away.
you showed me kindness
when i did not believe it,
when i did not deserve it,
when i was too scared to take it.
you showed me worth
when i did not believe it
when i did not deserve it,
when i was too scared to take it.
you showed me love
when i did not believe it,
when i did not deserve it,
when i was too scared to take it.
there was a time,
when i swam, i floated, i drifted
far, far away
alone.
and suddenly,
i was lost.
i was swimming, floating, drifting
far, far away.
with you.
and suddenly,
you turned my lost,
into a home.
