The fear crawled inside my body. “Then . . . you know what I am?” I asked, my voice almost a whisper.

“Yes. I mean, yes? Teka! I can’t read . . . your mind,” she said low with disbelief.

I drew a breath and let it out slowly. How dare she scared me like that?

“Nah! Hindi ko talaga mabasa iniisip ng lahat.”

“That’s good,” I muttered in whisper.

     “Huh?”

“Huh? Ano, I said that’s not good,” palusot ko.

“Siguro ang former Bearers ang may gawa nito,” she guessed.

“Maybe. Everyone has the right to own privacy of information.”

She sighed. “Ang daya naman, oh,” she complained.

The day passed but Arda didn’t come back. The other day, hindi pa rin siya dumating kaya napag-isipan ng lahat na mag-self training. Xayl’ and Adiya tried to teach us while Kuting just sat down at the corner.

“I’m leaving,” Drok warned and he already went through his door.

     “Where are the others?”

And just that, my eyes widened again seeing a refined man in front who just appeared from nowhere. His eyes were burning in red.

“Who is he?” I whispered and Xayl’ beside me tried to respond nang maunahan siya ng lalake sa harapan.

“I am Loki, the former Bearer of Leo,” his voice roared all over the room.
