“Conceited,” I whispered to myself pero hindi ko inakalang napalakas iyon at narinig niya.

“What did you say?” he asked with frown on his forehead, looking at me ferociously.

“I said you’re conceited. Any problem with that?” I talked back. I couldn’t just let a spoiled little cat scratch my ego.

He snorted. “Wow! Look who’s talking. A Capricorn from the weakest region.”

“How dare you!” I stood up, locking my sharp eyes on his’. I hate him. I really hate him. I wanted to kill him. Just because our region had always been the last during every year’s great event, ay kaswal na niyang sasabihing mahina ang rehiyon namin? He doesn’t have the right to say it. No one has.

     “What? Any problem with that?”

I gritted my teeth.

“Yes? You want to hurt me with your power? Oh! I think I forgot. You’re . . .” he trailed off, sighed and snorted again, shaking his head with a mocking smile. “To the training room,” he blurted, turning away from us.

“What?” I insisted to ask. “What!” I yelled.

He looked back at me. He snorted again and shifted his attention to his door. And before he passed through, he said, “Renewed Blood.”

A tear ran down my cheek. I gritted my teeth and formed my hands into fists. Renewed Blood. Rare Blood he might wanted to say if he really knew me. Agad kong inihakbang ang mga paa ko. I’m leaving. “Ugh!” I uttered in disappointment dahil hindi pa rin ako mas’yadong nakakausad sa kinatatayuan ko. Nahihiya na ako.

“I’m going,” I heard Adiya said. And so everyone already tried their best to be on their respective doors. It took us minutes pero bakit napakadali lang ng munting kuting na ‘yon na maglakad? Nakakainis talaga siya.

Did he just use his power? Hindi ba bawal ‘yon. Ugh! “Dor aparir,” I opened my door and passed through, leaving everyone inside the hall. I sighed. And I sighed again, calming myself. He’d know who’s a Capricorn bitch he’s trying to fight with.

“Ugh! T-that Leo! I d-don’t like him,” Suwan greeted the training room with such irritation between her panting.

“Well, he’s the son of Loki. May karapatan siyang magmayabang,” Gemida fought for his side.

“Just don’t mind him, ‘China. He’s a Leo. It’s a natural drive for him to seek attention,” Xayluz said to me nang makapasok na siya sa training room.

“Yea. Don’t mind him. Mas lalo lang niyang maiisip na sikat siya.”

I exhaled roughly. Papansing kuting. “Ituloy na lang natin ang training,” iba ko ng usapan. Agad naman kaming nagsimula at itinuon ang galit ko sa mga gold bar.

Days passed, pero hindi pa rin kami nakakangalahati. Marami pa ring gold bars ang kailangan naming i-transfer.

“We only have five days remaining. Can we still make it?” Suwan asked habang nakaupo siya sa sahig. Napaupo na rin ako at si Gemida but Xayluz kept on transferring the bars. Kahit papaano’y nakakalimang gold bars na kami bawat oras. Maybe the spell hasd gone weaker? I hoped so.
