"Is little miss independent done cussing me out?" Tony remarked as I reentered the main living space, thankfully in clothes that properly fit.

"I guess we'll find out..." I cryptically replied raising a brow towards Stark with a mischievous smirk snaking across my lips.

"Sorry to break whatever the hell this is up, but Fury needs all of us at SHIELD HQ in an hour." Clint unapologetically interrupted as I became quickly alerted at the word, we.

"Who's gonna watch and protect Kate? Who's gonna-" Bucky began concerned nearly chocking on his own words, causing me to discreetly laugh under my breath while the team mirrored my actions; as much as I wanted to deny it I couldn't, I guiltily loved how protective he became in such little time of knowing me, it almost felt nice to feel cared for.

"Here's the plot twist, Fury wants Kate to come along." Clint interjected as my eyes widened in surprise, whirling my fingers in a circle urging him to tell me more.

Oh no, what did I do? Am I in trouble? Oh god, am I gonna have to leave?

"Last time we took her there she decided to cause quite the ruckus..." Tony added as I routinely rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"What would you do if you woke up in an unknown building? With no information on why? Or how?" I curtly replied verbally trying to defend my previous, ill thought out, actions.

"Enough you two, Kate are you ok coming with us? If not I can call Fury." Steve interrupted tilting his chin upwards towards me with his cell phone readily in hand, clearly remembering the events of last time I went out.

"I'm all good to go, thanks Rogers." I warmly smiled dismissively waving my hand towards him, appreciating the soldier's kind heart.

"Road trip!" Thor joyfully beamed causing everyone's heads to abruptly whip around, the god's childlike innocence earning a muzzled laugh from me.

"Let's go ladies, Fury isn't a patient man." Tony shouted clapping his hands obnoxiously above his head as Bucky immediately positioned by my side, accompanying me to the Quin Jet.

"Let's see how my visit goes this time..." I wisecracked mindlessly leaning my posture towards Bucky, my stomach still doing that weird tingling thing every time I came into close contact with him.

"Let's see if you can reframe from causing pandemonium this time." He sarcastically replied with a smile tugging at the corner of his lips, admiring how comfortable I had become around him, I no longer tensing my shoulders up to my ears or anxiously clenching my fists. Per usual, I found myself trapped in a daze as his breath fanned across my skin making my cheeks hot to the touch, while Tony found himself blatantly staring at how close we were.

"Seatbelts little children!" Tony blurted out while clapping his hands together trying to intentionally disrupt our brief conversation, pulling my undivided attention from Bucky's words back into reality; my mind once again reminding me not to become so easily enthralled every time he spoke a mere word.
