"I miss you too, but I'll be home soon."
I frowned.

"You always say that."
He sighed.

"I know, honey, but I promise I'll be home soon."

"Shawn!" I heard someone yell.

He turned his head to the person calling him and yelled back, "I'll be there in a second!"
He turned back to me.

"I have to go." he frowned.
"I love you, muffin."
"I love you more. I'll be home soon, I promise."
He blew a kiss at the camera before ending the facetime call.

I sighed and threw my phone on my bed.

Shawn has been touring for the past seven months.
Which means seven months without him. He still kept in touch, but it wasn't the same. I miss holding my love.

I decided to take a walk and got dressed.

As I was walking through the park, I heard someone calling my name.

I turned around and see Shawn running to me.

"Shawn?" I screamed.
"I told you I'll be home soon." he smiled.
I ran into his arms.

I felt safe again. I inhaled his scent. Vanilla.

"I missed you so much." I mumbled into his chest.

"Oh, and I have to show you something."

He held my hand and he led me back to his car.

"We have to drive there first."
I nodded, smiling.

He drove us to the beach, since it was only twenty minutes away.

We walked down onto the shore and sat on the sand. I was leaning against him. We watched the sunset.

"The colors look so beautiful blended together."
I nodded in agreement.

He stood up abruptly.

He pulled something out of his pocket and got down on one knee.

My eyes widened.

"I know we may be young, and to be completely honest with you, I don't think I'm ready for marriage, but," he opened the box. "This is a promise ring. Will you, my beautiful lady, promise to love me forever and take this ring?"
"Only if you promise to love me forever." I looked into his eyes, smiling.
"Forever and ever." he smiled.

I wrapped my arms around him and kissed his soft lips.

"So I'm guessing it's a yes?" he laughed.
