Note: I've decided that writing in character POVs aren't the best for this story, since it will be featuring about five or six main characters. Though I may use first person some times when I feel it's necessary. Also, the way the chapters are written are almost as if they are film episodes so they could be long at times woops

The next day, the two Starlites decided to stay home and rest for the day from the events last night. Soni walked into the main room and flopped on the couch while Silkver decided to bake another batch of cookies. Soni was still shaken from last night's events but his sister seemed unfazed by it. She acted as if nothing happened and he couldn't tell if she was hiding her feelings or just genuinely unafraid.

"Silkver, the guy that came after us last night . . . he seemed to know you," Soni said slowly.

Silkver didn't take her eyes off the cookie dough. "Yeah. But I don't know him at all."

"He even knew what your second element was. It's false that elementals can recognize pther element types just by looking, right?"

"If it isn't obvious, yeah." Silkver was definitely not easy to identify as dark based on looks.

"Do you have any other family members that know about your . . . second element?"

Silkver reached for a tray at the top shelf of the cupboard. "You, Mom, Dad, and the guy with five tails are the only family I've ever known, and all of you already know about it. So nope."

Soni continued. "What if he's been watching us for a while?"

"Maybe he has."

Soni paused as he watched his sister continue pouring sugar to the mix. "Aren't you worried at all? You don't look too spooked."

Silkver shook her head. "Nope. Not worried. I don't have time to be worried." She licked her spatula and smiled, pleased. "Plus, I'm too busy thinking about joining Jack and his friends in Acteon's Defenders thingy."

"His name's Ace." Soni stood up and walked over to Silkver with an annoyed look. "I don't think you really understand what just went down last night."

Silkver finally looked up. "What do you mean? I know exactly what happened. I even experienced it first hand."

Her brother held her by the shoulders firmly. "Someone else out there knows what you really are and tried to take advantage of you. And he's a dark elemental. There's a good chance others like him know about you too. We're bound to find ourselves in another situation like that, Silkver! Don't you understand?"

Silkver took his hands off her shoulders and turned around to her cookie dough. "Yeah, of course I understand! Which is why I'm joining DOS! Having that kind of status can-"

Soni's eyes went wide. Not from shock, but from what looked like fear. "What?"

"Oh, DOS is just an acronym for Defenders of Sarandiel. Its their official name apperently-"

"No no, you're actually joining?"

Silkver looked at him for a moment, then nodded with grin.

"Sil, you can't do that!"

"And why not?! 'Cus Mom said so?!"

"It's for your own good! They do a very thorough element analysis on you, right? They'll find out the minute you take that exam-!"

The doorbell rang. The Soni glanced at the door, then at Silkver nervously. She just shrugged and opened the door. Their unit was floating about twenty meters of the ground with clouds as stairs leading up to the door. Normally, only a sky elemental could step on the clouds without passing through, so there must be a sky elemental at the door, right?
