THE next day, jeongguk got up slowly, remembering what had happened in the previous night. he shuddered at the thought of taehyung being so dangerously close to him.
jeongguk went downstairs to make himself some cereal before going back up to brush his teeth and pick out clothes for himself.
his thought suddenly got cut off and thought of taehyung. he remembered how intimidating taehyung was and how jeongguk wanted to so badly kiss-
"oh my god! stop thinking about him already! he's a monster and will hurt you in many different ways! and dude! why did you think about kissing him? disgusting!" jeongguk quickly shook his head before getting back to picking out his clothes.
but his mind was still filled with taehyung. from when he saw taehyung being so afraid that jeongguk might call the police, to when taehyung threatened him to kill him, to the part where taehyung cried.
jeongguk felt a pang in his chest when he remembered taehyung's crying face. jeongguk sighed loudly before grabbing his backpack and headed for school.
on the way there, jeongguk saw taehyung slowly dragging his feet towards the school. jeongguk was hesitant on whether to greet taehyung or not. but, jeongguk's parents always say to greet people even if you don't like them.
"taehyung! wait up!" jeongguk yelled and ran after the older. taehyung's head whipped to the side so fast that he accidentally hurt his neck.
"j-jeongguk! hi! fuck, that hurt. h-how are you? i'm so sorry for last night! i promise i'll explain everything in your house! or my house! i can explain everything for you!" taehyung rambled and jeongguk can only giggle.
"it's fine taehyung. i'll let you explain when you feel like it. you don't have to pressure yourself ok?" jeongguk said calmly and taehyung nodded slowly. both boys walked slowly as they heard the trees swaying side to side, the wind blowing it.
"say taehyung, do you want to hang out after school? that way we can talk about your... thing more." jeongguk said. taehyung nodded but still looked confused.
"are you sure? i'm afraid i'll turn into the monster again and kill you. i cannot control the monster. but why are you hanging out with a monster like me anyways? i'm not meant to be alive and have friends." taehyung muttered sadly.
"hey. i know that i don't know much about you yet but i promise, you won't be alone forever. someone is bound to be with you for the next years. for example, your parents!" jeongguk exclaimed excitedly.
taehyung became silent at the mention of the word "parents". jeongguk caught the silence and turned towards taehyung.
"d-did i say something wrong?" jeongguk asked and taehyung quickly smiled.
"it's ok. nothing's wrong. we better get to class before we're late though." taehyung said and walked to their homeroom.
but who would've thought that their hangout will turn into a disaster?
