new house, new people

We haven't fucked in ages. I don't know why she keeps trying. But anyway, I saw the smirk on Val's face as she walked away. I couldn't help but stare. This woman always seemed to catch my attention. I don't even know why. She was beautiful yeah, but a lot of the girls were beautiful. Anyways Luigi must've seen I wasn't paying attention and snapped me back into reality.

"The fuck happened to her stomach. Was she beat up or something?" My fists clenched as he was looking at her, and he had a smile on his face. "No, no, no, I gave those to her. She enjoyed them if I must say." His smile faded quickly. "Damn dude."

"I want you to know, she's off limits. No matter what. Make sure all the men know. Expect Christafano. He's good." He looked mad. "Oh come on man. You're not fucking her anytime soon. You said it yourself. You were gonna stop kissing her and shit."

"Alright, who's the boss here?" He quickly stopped complaining. "You are capo."

"So if I say she's off limits. That means?"

"She's off limits. Sorry man."

"It's alright. Just don't question me again."

He nodded and walked away. I decided to go talk to Emma. "Hey Emma, just know, I'm not yours. You can't claim me and shit. If you give Val trouble I'll be coming after you first."

"B-But" I pulled my gun out and put it next to my side. "What'd I say, Emma?"

"Don't give Valentina trouble."

"Alright good. Back to work." She nodded and also left. Christafano was left. He was still laughing. He was like my brother since Stefano and Anna took me and Stella in. "What are you laughing at Chris?" I say smirking at him.

"Oh, nothing. Just Luca is protective over a little someone who's got hickeys all over her." He smiles right back. "I'm not. She's just off limits. And I'm getting tired of Emma so I thought I'd tell her to leave Val alone."

"You know that's only going to make her mad more. Right?"

"Yeah right, Emma isn't dangerous. She's not going to do shit." I snorted as I said that. It was true she's nothing compared to me. I walked to the front door. I had heard scratch marks. It was the dogs. I lifted them up in my right arm, leaving my left free, and walked to Val's room.

Val's POV

After messing with Emma, I walked down this big hallway. I found my stuff in a room and assumed it was mine. I unpacked everything and laid down. Boy was I tired. And of course, this was another king-sized bed. The perfect amount of cushion and blankets and pillows made me really wanna fall asleep. Then I realized. I didn't get to say bye to Anna. I found my phone and quickly dialed her number.

"Hey Anna, I'm sorry I couldn't say bye to you this morning. How are you?" I ask, a smile finding its way onto my face. "Oh, it's alright dear, we can still visit from time to time. Also, I'm good, how are you?" 

"I'm pretty good. Really loving my new bed. Luca still seems off though. Do you know what's up?" She sighs. She probably didn't know. Why would she? It's not her job to know how he's feeling twenty-four-seven.  "He probably has something going through his mind which he thinks is right. He probably doesn't even notice it's happening. He'll come around don't worry." My smile fades but I nod to myself. 

"Alright. Thank you. It was nice to hear your voice." She laughs lightly.  "Bye dear. Have a good day." Then she hung up. I put my phone up and lay back down. Then I hear a knock at my door. There was Luca standing there all gorgeous with my dogs. Both in one arm. He looked very sexy. Oh god. Stop Val. "H-Hey," I mutter. I didn't mean for it to come out all wimpy. But whatever.

"Hey, the dogs were scratching at the door so I thought I'd bring them to you." He says, normally, as if he couldn't see the blush forming on my face. I got off the bed and walked to the door. I grabbed the dogs, which they were heavy together I have no idea how he had both in one arm, and brought them to my bed. They laid down and fell asleep. Exploring must've tired them out.

I let out a small laugh as they were being adorable.

Luca's POV

Once I came to her room, I heard her talking to someone. So I waited till she was off the phone. Once she was, I knocked and she came over to me.

"H-Hey," she says quietly. Why did she sound so, I don't even know the word for it. She wasn't scared. But concerned? Why though? Anyway, I hand her the dogs, and she sets them on the bed. They quickly fell asleep and I watch as it makes Val laugh to herself. It was a very nice laugh. It was good to hear her laugh since she's been sad looking lately.

"Well, have a good day I guess." She said breaking me out of my trance. "Yeah, you too," I say quietly, then left. Was she okay? Ugh, why do I care? She's fine.
