Hey guys! It's Ms.FashionistaBTS and Anna_Tree. WELCOME TO THE FIRST CHAPTER! AHHHHHHH! It's was super fun making this! We don't exactly know how many chapters this book will have. BUT we will try to make good content.

  Chapter 1
I was thrusted awake from my sweet dreams when I heard my parents muttering downstairs. I ran down the stairs when I heard the door slowly creak open. There stood my parents, bags in hand, as they attempted to sneak out the door without me noticing.
"Mom, dad? Where are you going?"
"Oh! Sarah... We didn't know you were awake."
I sigh and repeat again. "Where are you going?"
"Out. We'll be back in a few hours or so. Promise."
I was used to empty promises. I just didn't realize this one would be so permanent.

7 years later.... Sarah POV
"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you!" My annoying roommate sang, "Happy Birthday dear Sarah! And also can we please go clubbing tonight because it's your birthday and you haven't done anything in forever... Happy Birthday to YOU!"
I groaned and sat up in my bed. I ran my hand through my messy hair and rubbed my eyes. "Go to hell."
"Good morning to you too birthday girl" Anna Lee smiled cheerfully.
"Why can't I just celebrate my birthday alone like I have the past couple years? They all turned out pretty well."
Anna Lee rolled her eyes and retorted, "You ate an entire cheesecake last year. From the Cheesecake Factory. That shit is huge."
"I rest my case."
"Please?"
I plopped my head into the pillow. "Take a fucking guess."
Anna Lee clapped her hands together loudly, "That shit would work any other year except this one. I already told Natalie you were coming."
I sighed, "Then cancel. I don't feel like going outside today."
Anna Lee then said, "Well, I'm going to go. Have fun moping alone on your birthday!"
"I will."
Her demeanor then changed pretty drastically, "Just stay safe. Don't, well, just don't do anything you'll regret while I'm gone. Promise?"
"Whatever. Just close the door on your way out - I'm trying to sleep."

Time Skip - 2am Anna Lee POV

The keys fall to the ground for the second time. As I bend over to pick them up, Natalie laughs behind me.
"Shut up!" I say laughing, "Sarah is trying to sleep!"
"You're such a lightweight - we should do this more. You might build any sort of a tolerance."
"Go to hell - I'm great at drinking."
Natalie rolls her eyes, "Tell the bouncer that. He might not kick us out next time."
The key finally slips into the keyhole, "Ha Ha, very funny. See you Saturday dipshit,"
"Love you too."
I kiss her on the cheek before stepping inside. "Goodbye!" I say in a breathy voice as she saunters away.
"Sarah! I'm home! Come and tell me about all the fun you had being sad and watching cartoons on your birthday!" She doesn't answer. 'She's probably just asleep' I think to myself before tip-toeing up to her room to check on her. She isn't in bed and I get worried.
"Sarah!" I rush around the corner, sobered up, "Sarah!" Fearing the worst, I open the door harshly and see her lying on the floor, a puddle of blood around her wrists.
"Fuck."

Time Skip - Anna Lee POV
I feel the ambulance turn the corner as a paramedic grabs a needle from the table. My head is screaming for some kind of pain reliever as I grip Sarah's hand. A paramedic mumbles to himself while another asks the doctor, "How are the vitals?"
"Not great - we have to wait until we get to the hospital before we know the full story though." I grip her hand tighter. 'You better make it - you know I can't pay the rent by myself.'
I stay in some sort of shocked trance until we reach the hospital. I'm told to wait in the waiting room until Sarah is stable. I pass the time flipping through an outdated Highlights magazine until I doze off.
