I had intended for Chapter Seventeen to be the ending, but couldn't help feeling that it was a bit too sad? So I thought I'd try and end things on a happier note

Matt sat on then bench, the occasional tear making the paper wet. He sniffed. That was when he heard her voice. "Hey. Are you ok?" Looking up Matt noticed a women stood there, a look of concern on her face. He was instantly astounded by her. She was beautiful. Tall, with long blonde hair curling as it fell. Her green eyes looking directly at him. Matt folded the letter and put it in his pocket. He nodded.
"Yeah, I'm fine thanks." But she wouldn't give up.
"Fine, even though you were crying a few seconds ago?" She asked. Matt smiled. There was something in the way she'd said it, that reminded him of Will.
"You're very persistent aren't you?" Matt laughed. "I'm Matthew by the way." She smiled.
"Kate. Well Matthew, can I interest you in a coffee?" She asked. Matt smiled again.
"I'd like that. But you're paying." He said, making Kate laugh as they walked down the hill. "Call me Matt, Kate."
"Well it's nice to meet you, Matt." She beamed.
