"I think she'll love them." After that, I left them on, smiling at my dad. I felt him ruffle my hair again.
"You're gonna be okay." He said before lightly tapping on my glasses.

"I think so too." I muttered, waking up. I yawned and stretched in my bed. I opened my eyes to see my mom ruffling my hair. "Hey mom." I said smiling at her. "I've been sleeping a lot lately, huh?" I said chuckling. She looked at me in shock before tears started to spring in her eyes. I looked at her in confusion, not knowing why she was upset. She started to smile sadly at me.
"You have, sweetheart, you have." She gave me a tight hug, taking me by surprise. "But it's okay now."
I took a look at my surroundings and noticed machines were next to me. I didn't even notice the tubes or unfamiliar room until now.
"Mom, why are we at a hospital?" She just held onto me, crying. I started to grow terrified. "What's going on? What happened? Is Blaine okay? Did some-" She stopped her sob and pulled back to smile at me.
"Everything's okay. You just had an allergic reaction." I felt the wind knock out of me.
"I what? How?" She gently shushed me, telling me to relax, that everything was better now.
"You're okay now. We just came here to make sure the medicine kicked in correctly." She pressed a button for the nurse to come in. I blinked at her.
"I don't remember much of it. This is so weird." Just woah, maybe Blaine can remind me what happened. Where is she anyway? "Hey mom where's Blaine? And my glasses?" I said looking to see if they were around me.
"Oh honey," she said looking like she was about to start sobbing again. A nurse came into the room at that second. She had a clipboard in her hand.
"Hey Alan, I'm your nurse Jenn. I'm glad to see you're up again." She said giving me a smile. "How are you feeling?"
"I-I'm feeling fine, but I'm still confused on what happened." I said with a frown. She nodded at me.
"That's normal at first. I'm sure your memory will kick in right away." She said removing my doubts while she gave me a check-up. "Everything seems normal. The doctor will be here shortly to see you." She said before grabbing her clipboard. My mom closed her eyes in relief. "Oh and your friends have been waiting a long time to see you, are you up to see them?" This made me nod so much, I almost fell out of my seat.
"Yeah definitely." She went to go call them, and I looked over at my mom. She opened her eyes, still having the sad smile on. I grabbed her hand.
"Hey it's okay, I'm gonna be alright." I assured her. She nodded at me, not saying anything more.
The door started to open and in came my friends. Jesse was first, and he looked a little confused at what to do. He suddenly smiled before coming up and giving me a hug. My mom got up, saying she was going to give us all some time together. I didn't even notice Jesse was shaking so much until after she left. He was swearing at me, saying colorful words left and right but I didn't care about that. I just hugged him back. He let go and I saw his face was red. I didn't know if it was from crying or anger, but I was just glad he was here.
Kevin gave me a hug next and he said he hoped I feel better soon. As soon as Kevin moved away, Jesse punched my arm hard. I looked at him in surprise.
"Hey! What was that for?"
"For scaring me duh!" He said angrily before sitting down in a chair next to my bed. I rolled my eyes, rubbing my arm.
"Geez Jess, don't hold back at my account." He just crossed his arms, glaring at something on the ceiling. I ignored him and turned to Kevin. "Where's Blaine?"
