♕Army X octoling!fem!Reader♕

I was instently in love with him but I looked at him strangebecause something was wrong with him. "Tch, {Y/N}. Do you see the two stripes he has on his face?" she asked with a chuckle and almost couldn't stop. I nodded but remained serious, because he looked quite angry. Maybe we would insult him if we annoy him, but {F/N} kept laughing and couldn't wait. I shook my head and we were ready. He came closer and as he finally entered the platform, we were only allowed to do one thing: eliminate the opponent.

We jumped both at the same time and looked at him from both sides.
"Hey, Agent 4, now you'll be splatted from us elite octolines, get ready for your defeat!" my friend screamed but the agent just chuckled.

"Heh, you guys would neverdefeat me, even though you're two! Thanks to this menual, you have no chance against me" he said, taking out a weapon I've never seen before. Is that even allowed at all?

Also, I was very confused what he meant, but as he showed his small book, I could understand it halfway. {F/N} got angry because he didn't take us seriously and sprinted towards him.

"Wait!" I shouted but it was already too late. Agent 4 took his weapon and beated her KO, without even moving. Seems they wanted to play first, if both didn't want to use their weapons...

{F/N} slipped and almost fell.

The agent was so stupid and left her behind him. Maybe she will get up again? Who knows, because she won't give up so fast, even if she always thinks so negative. Agent 4 came closer to me and I could see his face better then, which finally made me blush. This surprised the Inkling very much and he took down his gun.

"You ... blush?" he asked, holding his gun tightly. I nodded and walked back a few steps. Unfortunately I forgot how big the platform was and as I took another step I lost my balance and fell down.

"WAHHH" I screamed and {F/N} was also shocked as she didn't see me anymore. I fell down and ... my life was over. I closed my eyes and waited for death, but somehow it didn't come. At some point it became too stupid to me and I opened my eyes. I couldn't believe what I saw and none of us octolings would ever have thought it would be possible. The agent held my hand and kept me from death.

"Huh???" I asked with a bright red head and looked into his face. He looked at me seriously and even on him, I could easily recognize a slight blush. I never really wanted to touch an inkling, but now I had to do it because I wanted to live, because my life still important to me.

He pulled me up and as I stood on the platform, I couldn't do anything. What I could do was marvel at him. But suddenly, this silence moment of {F/N} was disturbed as she came full force and gave Agent 4 a side kick, right at his hip. With pain he flew off, towards the wall, which stood in the middle and broke it. Then Agent 4 was KO on the ground and he only saw asterisks.

His manual and his weapon were very far away from him and he couldn't move. {F/N} now took her weapon and decided to use the weapon because violence didn't work. She walked slowly towards him while I watched her devastated, as it was really tiring to hold Agent 4 without falling. I had to take a break, but what {F/N} was about to do, I didn't like.

"That was a mistake Agent 4, any last words?" she asked wickedly, pointing her gun at him. He just looked at her and said nothing more. She will kill him ... but ... he hasn't done anything yet.

"{F/N}! Stop, that goes too far!" I yelled and started to cry. "How can you just stand on Agent's side {Y/N}? Have you forgotten our freaking order?" she asked me disappointingly, leaving Agent 4 time to get up. I distracted her, but she held him down with her gun. "But ..." I wanted to say and then got up. "Nothing but! So ... I take this silence as a no" she said annoyed and was about to pull the trigger. I thought about it and had to act soon. I thought about my assignment.

"NO, HE SAVED MY LIFE" I shouted and stormed towards her.

"HUH ???" she asked and turned to me. To react it was too late for her and I hit her body. I pushed {F/N} off the platform and she fell screaming into the abyss. Sadly, between tears, I watched her falling down and could barely breathe normally.

"Ah, what have I done?" I asked myself and forgot the agent. I thought of myself and why I did that. I didn't know and couldn't answer this question. I am a monster and have killed my friend. I killed someone from the same side and at the same time protected my opponent. I didn't know what I was thinking and shook my head all the way until Agent 4 suddenly got up.

"Stay away from me ..." I sobbed and picked up my octobrush. "What you did was very brave, you seem like a special octoling" he smiled and wasn't angry at all, as I thought. Then I heard a message through my headset, which shocked me but saw it coming at the same time.

I was officially banned from the Octo Canyon for the murder of my own team and that comes two octolings to take me away.
"You should go, right? I need to help you ..." the agent said and went into his squid form. "Come on, hold on to me and we'll fly away" he begged softly, and I hesitated. But as I thought that I was actually dead, I went into my octopus form and stuck to it. Then we flew away together and I closed my eyes as it hurt to leave my own family after I committed murder. I then fell asleep, because this superjump went longer than expected.

After a while, however, I was woken up by something. I straightened up and realized that I was lying in a bed. I looked around nervously and when I looked aside, I saw this agent, which reassured me.

"Good morning ..." he yawned and looked at me. "Uhm, hello ... where am I?" I asked, getting up. "In my house ... better said in OUR house" he said smiling and then I remembered something that I wanted to know for some time.

"A question, what's your name?" I asked nervously, hoping he wouldn't tear my head off. "I'm Agent Army ... your savior, who's called normal Army-Kun and looks like that ..." he introduced himself and took off his suit. Then I could see a new Inkling that looked pretty cute. Especially his baret pleased me very well. I blushed again and looked away. "Thanks ..." I whispered, unsure what to say next. "No problem ... do you know why I saved you?" he asked grinning and this question surprised me extremely.

"Huh, no, why?" I asked shakily, looking for a way to leave this house. "Because I've never seen an octoling blushing on an Inkling, which usually annoys the octoling actually, so I learned something new" he said proudly, showing me a page of his manual that described everything. I let the whole thing amazed and was speechless. "And besides ... you were brave, so I wanted to keep you alive and gave up the mission for you and not tampering with the great zapfish" he added. What he said touched me a lot and I was flattered. "Can you ... come here?" I asked, pointing to the bed. Army nodded and sat down next to me. As he did that, I kissed on his lips and enjoyed it. I felt the love of the Inkling and thought about how much my life was complete. I was happy and then hugged him.

"I have to say, I love you ... more than I might even think for you saved my life and you are my hero, Agent Army" I whispered softly, kissing him again. Army didn't object, and I think he had a bit of trouble at first, that he actually loves an octoling. Eventually, however, he joined in and he didn't care much about it like me anymore. How was that again? A relationship with an Inkling is strictly forbidden? Well, not anymore and I have definitely proven that the community with an Inkling can be very nice too.
