♕Army X octoling!fem!Reader♕

"Oof" I screamed and as I came to myself, I looked around for a mirror. I looked at the ground and recognized a bit of water. There I could look at myself and see if the two black stripes were still there. Luckily that was the case and after a few poses, I looked around for this girl, who calls herself Marie.

"Hey you, are you ready for the mission?" a female voice asked behind me and I immediately turned around. In front of me was an Inkling and since we were both the only down here, I assumed that this was Marie. I took my N-Zap to me and looked at her threatened. "Of course I'm ready! That's why I came here for!" I said loud and clear. She shook her head and went into her hut. I wondered what she was doing in there but I took a look inside and waited. At some point she came out again and threw something to me. I looked questioningly at the part, but as I found out what it was, I nodded, while smiling.
"I have to wear this? This isn't serious, right?" I asked, shaking my head.

"Yes, that's serious, here, your weapon!" she said coldly, placing a hero shooter replica in my hand. "No, I won't take this weapon" I said in response for a moment, lying this way because I never fight without my N-Zap. Unfortunately, I had to put on the suit, because to give up two things, Marie would certainly not accept. I changed and after five minutes I was in this hero suit. The only thing that struck me was the two stripes I already had on my face. Marie patted my shoulder and pointed to my first target.

"So, you have a try, it's about life or death, give it all, Agent 4" she said with a smile and I started walking. But after a few steps I stopped and I remembered something. I turned and waved to her. "If I return the Zapfisch, may I go to Inkopolis Square as ... Agent Army?" I asked with anticipation and she laughed. "Alright, if you wish ... but now grab them all, Agent Army" she laughed, and then it started with my mission. After a few minutes I thought it would never stop. It got boring and at the same time I couldn't understand why not a single Inkling managed the whole mission so far. No one has been able to bring the Zapfisch back so far and with time I was more and more disappointed. "How can you lose here?" I asked to myself and splatted a few more octerians. At some point it came to a few octolings, but also no problem for me. Many had a tactic in mind but thanks to my manual, I thought of everything and was able to see through my opponents in advance. That surprised most and I was able to send the octolings to hell with a grin on my face. Slowly, however, I could understand why many said it had to be hard because it was getting harder and harder. There were moments when I wanted to take a break, but as I thought I was doing it for Inkopolis, there wasn't a break. A break?

No, impossible ... like this mission, isn't it? Yes, many have already said that the mission is impossible and we can never bring back the big zapfish. I fought my way and the enemies became more and more. More octolings, more octerians, more problems. Still it was still possible to get through alive and nobody has hit me yet. Nobody has a chance against the manual. Nobody. But suddenly, after splatting a few more octorians, I arrived at a dead end. There I had to do a superjump and with a high flight, I arrived at a new platform.

{Y/N}'s POV

The headphones began to react again and another announcement came, which almost blew me out of my socks.
"WHAT?" I asked, screaming and not quite listening. {F/N} got the same message and she dropped her weapon in wonder. I looked to her and she looked to me.

"Welp, we are so dead ..." she mumbled anxiously and took her weapon again, because only with it she feels safe and can defend herself well with it. I started to shiver and we both stared at the spawn point. We were both excited because the current Agent 4 is a real machine and has outperformed all others. He wasn't recognized for any injuries and he has never been hit. Strong performance, I must admit, so we were both sure that we wouldn't be able to defeat this Inkling. I just hope that he will splat us and won't kick us off the platform, because it went deep here already down. I looked down briefly and got directly scared. Then, as I was upside down again, the spawn point started to react and someone came flying here. The squid turned into a human form and I could see an Inkling for the first time.
