Pidge growled and laid down on her bunk.

People ignored her and went about their business.

Pidge clawed at her now short hair she had recently cut to disguise herself as a boy.

The Garrison was a great school.

There was just one problem.

A boy she recently met and was in a team with.

Lance.

He was a distraction to her.

She didn't know what was so special about him to her.

But she intended on figuring it out.

"Pidge!" Lance ran after Pidge.

"Ugh," Pidge rolled her eyes and continued walking.

"Hey! Wait up!" Lance called.

Pidge frowned and turned around, waiting for Lance to catch up.

"What? What do you want?" Pidge scowled.

"Jeez no need to get grumpy. You didn't sleep again didn't you?" Lance asked with a concerned and caring tone.

"I don't need sleep. I need to find my brother and father. I need to upgrade the Castle and our lions. I need to be distracted from-...I need a distraction," Pidge cut herself off.

"Pidge you have to take care of yourself," Lance frowned.

"What's it to you?" Pidge snapped at him.

She stormed off toward the hangars but Lance unsurprisingly followed.

"Hey Pidge. I care about you. So you should care about yourself too. I know how important your family is to you but you can't exactly find them if you can't function properly," Lance put his hand on Pidge's shoulder.

"Sleep isn't the reason I can't function," Pidge muttered.

"What was that?" Lance tilted his head.

"Nothing," Pidge said quickly.

"Ok...come on. Hunk said he might've found a way to make peanut butter cookies out of the random things we found in the Altean fridge," Lance grabbed Pidge's hand and dragged her along the empty hallways.

Pidge's eyes widened and she looked up in shock at the back of Lance's head.

She was glad he wasn't looking back at her at that moment because her brain just pieced together a huge problem she had been trying to solve since the Garrison.

Every time her heart started beating fast when he entered a room...it was because of a crush.

Every sleepless night she's had staring at the ceiling...it was because of a crush.
