Chapter 35

Matsuri followed Lina and Sakira to the table where the whole gang was. Matsuri walked closer and saw Kori. Memories of her past started to come back and she shook her head trying to forget it
"Hey Matsuri I got you your favorite" Harumin said holding her icecream. Matsuri walked up to her and sat down next to her then grabbed her icecream
"Thanks" Matsuri said and licked her icecream
"Hey Matsuri I want you to meet my old friend Kori Tripp" Harumin said. Matsuri looked up and Kori looked back at her then smiled
"Hey Matsuri. It's a pleasure to meet you" He said with a smile
"I-it's a pleasure to meet you too..." Matsuri said
"Hey Matsuri is it okay with you if we all hang at your place. We wanted to have a pool party" Yuzu said
"Sure" Matsuri said
"Awesome! Today is the best day!" Asher said. Everyone was so happy while Matsuri kept thinking what happened back there. She kept licking her icecream and thinking.
"Haha yeah. We met back in middle school after my return. We used to date for a few months" Kori said
"Hehe yeah but we decided to stay friends" Harumin said. Matsuri overheard the conversation and felt a painful sting inside her chest. It was mostly her heart.
Calm down...I won't let my jealously get the best of me...he doesn't deserve it...he's a nice guy...I'm the bad guy here...I only end up hurting others
Harumin looked at Matsuri and noticed her expression. Harumin reached towards her hand and held it. Matsuri felt a warm feeling and looked up at Harumin
"Are you okay?" Harumin asked
"Y-yeah...I'm fine" Matsuri said and bit down on her icecream. Harumin leaned closely to her and kissed her softly. Matsuri blushed feeling her soft and warm lips. The gang all giggled and a couple said a few 'Awwwwww' seeing the cute couple kiss. Once they pulled away Matsuri couldn't help but smile. Harumin wrapped her arm around kissing her cheek softly. Matsuri blushed deeply and enjoyed being in Harumin's arms. Kori saw the cute couple and smiled
It seems she's changed...

The whole gang went to Matsuri's mansion to hang out. Matsuri was playing video games with her friends while Harumin and Yuzu were preparing dinner for everyone
"Damnit!" Asher groaned
"You lose again" Matsuri chuckled winning the fighting game
"You're so good at this. Have you played this before?" Furto asked
"Nah I'm just good at it" Matsuri said
"I'm next!" Sakira said grabbing the controller
"Good luck. You'll need it" Matsuri said. Lina smiled and looked at Kori
"Hey you...uh Kori wasn't it?" Lina asked
"Yep! That's me" Kori said
"Do you know Matsuri?" Lina asked. Kori's eyes widen and sighed deeply
"You could say that...she's the reason why I moved a lot. I was always bullied by her and her friend Ari..." Kori said
"Oh...well Matsuri hasn't told us anything about you" Lina said
"It's probably the best since we shouldn't be thinking about the past..." Kori said and looked at Matsuri
"I'm glad she's with Harumi. I'm happy for both of them.." Kori said
"Yeah me too even through Harumi does scare me a bit with her black dragon" Lina said
"Oh you mean the dragon powers?" He asked
"Harumi told you about it?" Lina asked
"Yep and told me that tough time they both had to go through" Kori said
"Yeah...especially Matsuri's family but it seems that everything is okay now" Lina said
"Haha! I win!" Matsuri said jumping from the couch
"You're awesome Matsuri!" Asher said ruffling her hair. Matsuri smiled and hugged her friends. Kori walked up to the group and tapped on Matsuri's shoulder
"Hey Matsuri?" Kori asked
"Huh?" Matsuri said and turned to look up at him
"I want to talk to you in private. Is that alright?" He asked. Matsuri trembled a bit and nodded. They both walked outside as the sun was setting. The two of them both were looking away since they met each other as kids.
"So um...anyways-"
"Sorry..." Matsuri said interrupting Kori
"Huh?" Kori asked
"I-I'm sorry Kori for everything...I shouldn't have done that to you. It was wrong for me to hurt you like that. I made your life a misery..." Matsuri said looking down. Kori looked at Matsuri and placed his hand on her shoulder
"Hey it's alright. It's in the past...it's best to move on with your life and leave everything bad behind. Hehe...you really did change" Kori said
"N-not really..." Matsuri mumbled
"I know you've changed. Harumi was that one that changed you..." Kori said
"Probably..." Matsuri said. It was silent for a moment and Matsuri clenched her fists tightly
"Kori...?" Matsuri asked
"Hmm?" Kori replied
"You and Harumi...used to date?" Matsuri asked
"Oh u-uh...well yeah but only for a couple of months" Kori said
"Have you met her family?" Matsuri asked
"Um...yeah I did" Kori said
"Did they like you?" Matsuri asked
"Yeah especially her grandmother. She seemed a pretty sweet lady" Kori said. Matsuri stood there watching the sun setting. She clenched her fists tightly and gritted her teeth
"You two seem really close friends..." Matsuri said
"Yeah...Harumi is really sweet maybe that's the reason why I liked her" Kori said
"Were you two happy?" Matsuri asked
"Very..." Kori mumbled. Matsuri felt a sharp pain like a knife stabbed through her chest
"Matsuri...you okay?" Kori asked
"...I'm fine..." Matsuri mumbled and walked away
"Hey wait!" Kori said. Matsuri started running away getting on her motorcycle. She drove away leaving the mansion. Her eyes started to burn and she shook her head. She drove into the forest and felt herself transforming. Suddenly she crashed into a tree and fell from her motorcycle rolling on the ground giving hirself cuts and bruises. Matsuri's body trembled and felt her dragon wings come out from her back
"A-argh...not...letting ugh...you c-control..." Matsuri said groaning and clenching her fists
That bastard! Thinks he's so perfect and everything! Kill him! He's going to take her away from me!
N-no! I can't let you control! He doesn't deserve to die! H-he's a kind g-guy!
Shut up! I don't want to lose her!
"G-gahhhh!!! No grrrrrr!!! I-I don't want to KILL!!!" Matsuri growled. Matsuri's right eye turned red and whimpered loudly. Matsuri opened her eyes and looked around. She gasped and realized she was in the arena. Matsuri trembled and was in the middle of the battlefield.
Wh-what is going on? A-am I dreaming?
"Go! Kill! Kill! Kill!" She heard the crowd cheering. Matsuri was shaking and walked back slowly. Suddenly she felt someone's arm on her shoulder
"Murder..." She heard Ari's voice. Matsuri turned around and trembled seeing Ari. She was bleeding and an arm torn off
"Killer..." She heard Sangchul's voice. Matsuri gulped and backed away slowly then bumped into someone from behind
"Monster..." She heard Harumin's grandmother voice. Matsuri ran away from them but saw a huge dragon shadow
"You. Can't. Escape" The dragon roared and everything went black. Matsuri saw darkness everywhere and curled up into a ball. Tears rolled down her cheeks and bloody tears also rolled down her cheeks. She felt a small breeze and slowly lifted her head. The darkness slowly vanished as a light was coming close to Matsuri. It looked like an angel. Matsuri's eyes widen as she realized who it was
"I finally get to see you...Matsuri" The lady said. Matsuri's eyes widen and slowly stood up
"Gr-grandma?" Matsuri asked.

"What did you do to her?!" Asher growled as he grabbed Kori aggressively
"I-I didn't do a-anything! I s-swear!" Kori said and trembled
"She left her phone" Sakira said grabbing Matsuri's phone
"L-look I asked her if she's fine and she said she was and left!" Kori said. Lina sighed and looked at Harumi
Matsuri running away from the problem is not going to work...
"I'm going to find her" Harumin said as she ran out the door but felt someone grab her wrist
"Harumi before you go...there is something I need to tell you about Matsuri" Lina said
