Chapter 3

"Matsuri!"
"MATSURI! YOU'RE BACK!"
Matsuri's eyes widen then Sakira and Lina ran up to her tackling her
"H-hey!" Matsuri said. Sakira and Lina both hugged her and nuzzled her.
"It's been so long" Sakira said
"We've missed you so much" Lina said. Matsuri smiled and the girls got off of her and helped her.
"Yo! Furto! Come here!" Asher called Furto
"What's going on?" Furto asked
"Matsuri is back! Matsuri is back!" Sakira said
"Wait! She's back?!" Furto exclaimed and came running down the stairs
"You're back!" Furto said and hugged her
"Hehe y-yeah I'm back" Matsuri said
"You've grown so much and dyed your hair too" Furto said and ruffled her hair
"Yeah" Matsuri said
"Hey wanna eat with us. We ordered pizza" Furto said
"Sure" Matsuri said. The gang went to the kitchen to eat pizza.
"So Matsuri...how was it in the U.S?" Lina asked
"Actually guys...there is something important that um...I need to talk about" Matsuri said
"Sure. We're all ears" Furto said. Matsuri took a deep breath and started to explain the real story. After explaining her whole story Matsuri looked down and covered her face as she felt tears start to form her eyes
"Matsuri...hey it'll be okay" Sakira said and hugged her trying to comfort her
"That old hag! Does she seriously think it's best for Harumin to just forget about you!? I wish that old hag dies!" Furto said in anger
"B-but it's true...she's right...I mean Harumin has a better life. Whenever I was with her...I would just annoy her and tease her...I was a waste of time for her...I was a waste of time...everyone was right...I just wanna kill myself...why the hell am I living...I should be dead already..." Matsuri said as her eyes became dull
"Matsuri don't say that! That's not true!" Lina said
"Matsuri don't listen to them...they are wrong about you. You are special. You are important. You have friends that care about you. You have family that care about you too. It's really best to talk to Harumin about this...you need someone to talk to about your feelings. You should start with your family..." Asher said. Matsuri hugged Sakira back and placed her head on her shoulder. Her friends were right...Matsuri has never talked to anyone about her feelings. She has never told anyone about her nightmares and her hallucinations. Matsuri sighed and smiled at her friends
"I'm glad I found you guys again..." Matsuri said
"We're glad too" Asher said
"Yeah you don't know how much we've missed you" Lina said
"Hehe even Lina couldn't stop crying because she missed you so much" Sakira said and giggled softly
"Th-that's not true" Lina said blushing in embarrassment. Matsuri giggled and smiled enjoying being with her friends. Her phone suddenly rang and saw it was her mother
"Hey guys...I have to go out and take this call. I'll be back" Matsuri said and walked out side then pulled her phone out
"Hey Mom..." Matsuri answered
"Matsuri! Are you doing well over there?" Her mother asked
"You're okay right?" Her father asked a bit worried
"Yeah...I'm doing fine. I'm just hanging with a few friends" Matsuri said
"That's great. Also we'll be heading back to Japan in about a week" Her mother said
"I got a new promotion back in Japan!" Her father said
"Really?" Matsuri asked and smiled. She missed her parents and even though she did suffer a lot she still loved them and was able to forgive them
"Yes! Isn't that exciting?" Her mother asked
"Of course it is" Matsuri said
"We can't wait to see you again sweetie. You don't know how much we missed you. We love you so much and are so proud of you" Her mother said
"H-huh? Pr-proud of me? Why...I mean I haven't done anything good lately..." Matsuri mumbled
"Of course we are!" Her father said
"You are a special girl Matsuri. Sure...you may not done anything hehe but no matter what you do or happens. We're still proud of our wonderful and special daughter" Her mother said
"I remember the day your mother told me she was pregnant. You should've seen me...I was jumping with joy and excited to see my daughter" Her father said. Matsuri smiled and she heard her father's voice shake a bit...was he crying?
"The day I saw you...and held you in my arms...was the best day of my life. We're glad to have a wonderful daughter like you" Her father said. Matsuri felt tears for in her eyes and felt them roll down her cheek and fall to the floor
"M-mom...D-dad...I have...something to tell you..." Matsuri said
"Yes honey? What is it? Her mother asked
" Something wrong?" Her father asked
"I-its about...Harumin...and a few problems that I'm dealing with..." Matsuri said and closed her eyes feeling a small breeze blowing her short hair
"But...I rather tell you this...in person" Matsuri said
"Of course dear. We understand" Her mother said
"We'll help you with your problems and also...when did this situation start?" Her father asked
"8 years...when you two left...I-I..." Matsuri's lips trembled and she covered her mouth as she started sobbing
"Matsuri...we'll come home immediately" Her mother said
"We're heading back home tomorrow morning okay?" Her father said
"Y-yeah...okay. I'll be waiting..." Matsuri said
"Great. We can't wait to see you" Her father said
"Yes I'm so excited to see my daughter. We love you so much Matsuri. We're so happy to have you as our daughter" Her mother said
"I love you both...Mom and Dad..." Matsuri said and smiled as tears still were rolling down her cheeks. After a few minutes Matsuri hung up and sighed deeply while looking down.
Hopefully...when my parents are back they can help me get through this...
Matsuri sighed and walked back inside
"Hey Matsuri did you tell them?" Asher asked
"No...I told them I had a problem and they said they'll come back tomorrow morning. So yeah...hehe I think I should head back now" Matsuri said looking at the time on her phone
"Awww man! Come on Matsuri...stay a little longer with us" Lina begged
"Nah I'm sorry but no..." Matsuri said
"Hey Matsuri we understand you're in well a Midnight Assassin but don't you think you should get a job?" Asher asked
"Yeah but...I mean I'm not good at anything" Matsuri said
"I heard that in Harumin's company they are looking for a another secretary" Sakira said. Matsuri's eyes widen and she immediately shook her head
"Hell no! No fuckin way I'm working in that place...especially since...Harumin is there..." Matsuri said
"Oh come on Matsuri...give it a shot. You don't have to go and kill and steal. At least try...please?" Asher said
"I-I'll think about it..." Matsuri said
"Alright.he let's exchange numbers so you can give me a call. We can help you get hired for the job" Asher said
"Thanks guys" Matsuri said. After they exchanged numbers with each other Matsuri then grabbed her mask and put it on and left on her motorcycle heading back home or well her mansion. She then stopped at a traffic light and turned around and saw...Harumin. Matsuri's eyes widen and trembled seeing Harumin with a guy...the guy...was her old bully when she was little. Harumin saved her from him which was the first day they met but Matsuri was rude to her. Matsuri shook her head and felt something going through her head and clenched her fists tightly. She then drove off and parked near an alley and trembled.
Damnit! Forget about her! Forget about her!
Matsuri took off her hoodie and pulled out her knife. She didn't know what she was doing since she had no control over her body. She then placed the knife near her arm and started cutting herself
Forget! Forget! Forget! Gahhh!! Come on forget about her!!!
Flashback
Matsuri cried as she had cuts in her arms. After the incident with Harumin and the old lady scolding her. She hated herself for putting Harumin in the hospital. It was her fault and she regretted the words she told to the girl. She couldn't control herself nomore and cutted herself wanting herself to suffer and not Harumin. Her mother cleaned and placed bandages on her cuts and hugged her
"Matsuri why did you do this to yourself?" Her mother asked
"B-because I h-hurted her!" Matsuri cried
"It's not your fault" Her mother said
"Y-yes it is! Th-that old lady told me!" Matsuri cried
"Don't listen to that mean old lady" Her mother said and stroked her hair softly. Matsuri started to calm down a bit and hugged her mother back.
M-mama...why is th-that old lady m-mean to me?" Matsuri asked
"I'm not so sure...maybe she's just worried about her granddaughter" Her mother said
"M-mama...am I a b-bad girl? Is that why she hates me? Will I never be able to be friends with that girl? I want to ask forgiveness to her...I want her to be my friend...I regret what I told her back there when she helped me..." Matsuri said as she cried
"Oh sweetie...I know you'll be able to become friends with her..." Her mother said
"B-but...that old lady hates me.." Matsuri said
"You can try to keep your friendship a secret from her..." Her mother said
"H-huh? I can?" Matsuri asked
"Sure...I mean you two can be friends just don't let the old lady know okay?" Her mother said
"O-okay..." Matsuri said calming herself down for a bit
End Of Flashback
Matsuri stood there looking down. Her arms were covered in cuts and blood was dripping from them. Matsuri dropped her bloody knife on the ground
"Hey you! Get out of my territory!" A guy said walking up to her with his gang. Matsuri didn't move at all and ignored him
"Hey! Are you deaf? I told you to get out!" The guy said. Matsuri kept looking down and she didn't care at all. The guy growled and slapped Matsuri. Matsuri looked up at him and growled
"Are you deaf?! I've already to-" The guy's eyes widen when he felt a knife through his stomach
"Shut...the fuck up" Matsuri said glaring at him with her purple eyes. The guy trembled seeing Matsuri's glare and her mask that she was wearing which made it scarier.
